here's alby's day one [prompt: favorite build] for @sbk-april !! there's SO many awesome builds [the coliseum my beloved] on this server and i probably would've been stuck trying to get All Of Them in a drawing. HOWEVER it's april fool' day and that means alby can be silly with their 1am silly art [but alby isn't not 1am right now? alby knows better than to try and blog at 1am, next question] so behold the Birch Shulker co!... that we've captured just out of entity render distance,,,
genuinely this shop is so exceptionally silly in concept and alby WILL continue their campaign of "the next house upgrade needs to be THE SHASEMENT [shulker basement]"
happy tdov to people who don't pass or have no interest in passing, who can't pass because there is no culturally recognised category for the way they want to be recognised, who flip flop and fuck around, who can't hide their transness and have to plan their everyday around being visible, who can't signal their transness and have to come out over and over because the default presumption is intolerable, who don't have the resources yet or the knowhow or the willpower to change what they want to change, whose transness is warped by a hegemonic image of ideal transness that is almost as difficult to escape as the hegemonic image of cisness, who don't have a justification prepared for the assertion that they are trans but can no longer justify the assertion that they are not, who have a million justifications that are all surplus to the fundamental requirement (that society mandated one articulation of you and you chose another), et cetera and so forth across the world and universe forever. your version is right. don't concede.
the day after tdov should be international try it out for a minute day. try on something you'd wear if you were trans (and nobody is saying you are), try out makeup for the first time (for the novelty), imagine what your name would be if you were to transition (and you don't have to), think of yourself with a different pronoun and imagine people casually referring to you that way (just because it's international try it out for a minute day). it's april first, who says it means anything. just try it out for a minute.
happy tdov, i don't want to be visible i want to be safe. i want all of my trans friends and loved ones and every trans person in the world to be safe and to be happy and to have access to everything they need and to not have to worry about what ways we'll be attacked next. happy trans day of visibility, i want a world where being visibly trans doesn't compromise my safety.
& happy trans day of visibility most of all to the trans people whose voices don't get heard, who keep quiet. for whatever reason.
to nonbinary trans people who aren't -fem or -masc, who aren't comfortable with either, who have been treated like whatever binary gender it's easier to identify them as. to nonbinary trans people effectively treated as cisgender people with "different pronouns to remember." to nonbinary trans people using multiple pronouns who have been told they'll "figure it out" or who are expected to transition to the other binary gender "at some point". to intersex trans people forced to transition and intersex trans people told they "don't have it as bad" as perisex trans people, especially intersex trans people dealing with both.
to black trans men in a political climate where being that is a dangerous thing, and to all black and indigenous trans people of color similarly racialized. to trans people, especially trans people of color, in countries whose native tongue seems not to have the words for their identity. to disabled trans people who have had to prioritize physical aids or other disability issues over gender affirming care. to poor trans people who can't afford gender affirming surgery and to middle/upper-class trans people whose financial safety is dependent on their being presumably cisgender.
to trans otherkin and alterhumans with species dysphoria who don't feel human, and everyone else who cannot effectively transition physically. to trans system members in mixed-gender plural systems who can't transition because their body doesn't just belong to them. to trans introjects that are a different gender from their source. to trans people who can't articulate their experience of gender no matter how hard they try. to cisgender nonbinary people whose identities are complex and who don't fit cleanly under the trans umbrella.
to trans people who don't want new pronouns. to trans people who do, but don't want to inconvenience other people in the process. to trans people who feel like they "don't count" because they don't feel that dysphoric, or still identify with their birth gender somewhat, or would be talking over others somehow, or would let people down if they weren't a "role model" for their presumed gender anymore.
it's rough out here, we know. you don't have to be seen if you don't want to be. but we hope someday the world will be kind enough for you to show your true face, even if that face isn't what others want to see.

SKYBLOCK KINGDOMS APRIL
This month-long event is to celebrate the wonderful creators of the Skyblock Kingdoms SMP! Every day of April this year, we focus on a member of SBK to show appreciation to, as well as some broader prompts about the whole server. It covers both seasons 1 and 2, so don't worry if you aren't caught up! ☁️ This event is open to everyone to participate!! We will begin on April 1st and conclude on April 30 2026. If you aren't able to fill all prompts, no worries! Depending on the success of SBK April, we may try to make this an annual community event. ☁️
Types of fanworks you could do;

character/story analysis
clip compilations, edits, animatics and fancams
gifsets, webweaves, playlists and memes
talking about your favourite episodes, builds or lore they've made
building something in Minecraft inspired by them and posting screenshots

PSA About Twitch Chat Metagaming
Hello SBK Community! I just wanted to make a post aboutm through Twitch chat, since it seems to be happening already.
> For reference, metagaming in this context refers to the action of a stream viewer jumping into another streamer’s chat to try and convince them to interact with another streamer’s story or lore.
With Avid and Marm’s storyline of the Mass being introduced, there will likely be themes of “assimilating” into the Mass’ hivemind. This has already been the case with c!Avid, and he’s talked about wanting to assimilate others.
I would like to remind everyone that this is a fictional story with acting and narrative. Anyone who is taking part in this storyline has very likely already discussed their involvement with Avid and Marm, or will hopefully do so in the future. This does not, however, mean it is on you as a twitch chatter to jump into other SBK streamer’s chats to force them to try and “deal” with c!Avid.
There were people already jumping into Legs’ chat today asking him to go try and deal with Avid simply because he was on SBK at the time. If Legs wants to investigate the Mass, he will. But do not jump into his chat, or ANY OTHER SBK MEMBER’S CHAT to tell them to go stop Avid.
This storyline has already been planned with an ending in mind (hopefully, as we do not know fully for certain). This means there will be resolution, and it’ll happen in its own time. Please do not try and force it to happen by jumping into random streams to get them to stop the storyline.
This is a fictional narrative, with roleplay done by consenting and aware adults. Please let them tell this story, and don’t force anyone to take part. This sort of thing has happened in the past in fandoms like DSMP, and I’d hope it does not happen here.

The SBK community is great, and I haven’t seen this much. But I hope a post like this can help get ahead of the curve to try and avoid incidents like this. Have fun, and enjoy the story as it unfolds.
TL;DR: Please don’t hop into SBK member’s twitch chats to try and force them to intervene with the Mass lore. It’ll happen on its own if the streamer is genuinely interested in taking part.
