gotham’s unusual bought of humidity leaves the cave’s entrance slimier than she remembered it to be.  the feeling of sodden moss  &  wet rock doesn’t phase diana though.  no,  nothing would distract her from her anger.  truthfully,  she cannot tell if the force in her steps  &  behind her cinched brow is just a parasitic sort of sorrow that only masquerades as rage.  she doesn’t care even though she knows she should.  if i were to list all the things i should do,  popping batman’s head clean off his shoulders would be my first priority,  diana thinks with a sour grimace.  she travels further through the caverns,  ignoring the panicked flight of bats  &  the hiss of bothered insects.  when her foot glides from stone to metal,  she knows she’s near.  each step diana takes is with excessive vigor;  her footsteps are obvious  &  loud.  there was a time where she would have delighted in her attempts to sneak up on bruce  &  where he’d try his hardest to sense her before she’d instantly appear next time to him with a smug “boo!”  ...  she wonders if he were ever her friend,  even back then.

diana appears from the shadows of one of many tunnels,  the main part of the batcave just below her.  she steps off the platform  &  lands with a loud thud in front of a man clad in black.  the metal foundation shakes beneath them,  even the batmobile just behind her wobbles.   ❛❛    bruce.    ❜❜    her voice is stern  &  she’s glad for that,  but the annoyed scowl he wears only worsens her temper.  just the sight of him makes her anger bubble at the base of her throat,  dampening any ounce of mercy she wishes to grant her old friend.  he must think she’s nothing more than a pest he must exterminate,  clearly that’s why he planned extensively for her incapacitation.   ❛❛    we need to talk.   ❜❜

hello,  everybody!  i just wanted to give y’all a quick update on my activity: july/august are busy months for me so i can’t be on the dash too often.  lately,  i’ve been wanting to focus on more real writing with my partners,  so you’ll see me come online to write,  though not more than that.  i’ll make sure  my plotted starter call is easily found  &  i’m getting through those very slowly!  this may be something that doesn’t need to be said,  but i know that some people measure interest in their blog by the engagement they get on the dash.  just know that if i follow you,  i actually want to write with you!

something important i’ve noticed is that the amazons are not supposed to hate men just because they’re men.  if you’ve seen them make fun of them or whatever,  they’re usually making fun of the way the man’s world had raised men  (  &  how ignorant they are because of it  ).  the amazons have actually been heavily punished for seeking vengeance against men,  because they exist to right the wrongs of men,  not to turn the power imbalance the other way.
