What constitutes as a “proship” to people? Genuinely asking because I just learned the phrase. Would it have to be something non canon like Spardacest? Or would something like Terra X Deathstroke (which is canon) also be considered a proship? Is it just any ship that’s offensive because that could be well, any ship under the sun. Are crackships proships? Is Sonadow a proship because I do not give a crap if that offends anyone. Just block me now because that’s my jam.

no you have to contribute to your fandom if you don't want it to die. most fandoms die because people say 'it's so sad watching the fandom die when the hype dies' without doing anything about it. I'm not saying you have to push out 100k word slow-burn fic, I'm not saying you have to make fan art or gif sets or edits or anything. I'm just saying we as a community should contribute to our fandom if we don't want it to die, and by contributing, I'm talking about giving kudos, commenting on your favorite fics, reblogging your favorite art and just talking about your favorite characters. that's enough to keep a fandom alive. that's the most effective way to keep a fandom alive in my humble opinion.
fandoms die because people stop talking about it, fandoms die because people stop engaging with fan content once the hype is gone. what I'm saying is, mainstream media's hype may be gone, but our fandom can stay alive and thriving if us as a community don't let it die.

#fma#DAMN but Dante was stone cold and so so good for it#ALSO I LOVE#LOVE!!!!#that she wasn’t defeated by the elrics#she didn’t get taken down in a mad ridic jrpg fight like Father#which honestly got kind of dull to watch because it really did just drag out#she was taken out by her OWN HUBRIS#her callous manipulation and deconstruction of gluttony ended with her being destroyed by him#OFFSCREEN#and in the end the final homunculus boss fight in 03?#gluttony’s fucked up final form#which is honestly SO much worse than mangahood#and it’s awesome#no scheming no snarking no fury#just a mad hungry thing twisted up into something truly properly monstrous deep in the bowels of the hidden city#and alphonse fuckin’ elric is the one to put him AND wrath down in one fell swoop#in such a twisted and frankly unsettling tell not show of character development#13 year old boy stone cold kills two homunculi for his own personal gain because him wanting his brother back trumps all else#and NO ONE knows what happened to Dante#god 03 is a fascinating show#i need to watch it again#i rewatched the first ep and it’s so fucking good#i honestly hate the first couple eps of BH because they’re so goofy#you can’t watch ep 2 of BH and ep 1 of 03 and walk away thinking BH is full stop the better show
