I think we're getting a little too comfortable thinking magic and witchcraft are synonymous
Out of pure curiosity, how would you differentiate and separate the two terms/concepts?
I would define magic as any ritual act done to cause change through spirit/non-physical means.
I would define witchcraft/sorcery as acts of magic that are seen as diabolical, subversive, or taboo by the dominant culture. Often being associated with features like spirit flight, shape changing, pacting with spirits, and/or casting spells.
