I Want To Learn All The Things

Have you ever had a moment where you are so absolutely overwhelmed because the gravity of the world suddenly is too much? The realization that you couldn't read every book in the world, and its impossible to see every square inch of the Earth. The infinite possibilities, and yet I still want to do it all, read it all, see it all.

I started this blog ages ago when I was in formal schooling. Now, I'm living out in the world but realized that #1 I didn't fully utilize the time in school to the maximum extent and #2 Learning is my favorite hobby.

Now I’m back in formal schooling, and have spent 24 refocusing on my goals.

Goals for 2024:

26.05.2026 // drowning in the stress spiral

struggling with the current chapter that i am writing; once again, the feeling that i've bitten off more than i can chew. i'm dealing with the stress by procrastinating, which is of course causing even more stress. last week of teaching and then off to marking assignments.

a friend told me that she's finally submitting her phd thesis next week and i actually gasped out loud. when i had first met her 2.5yrs ago, she had just come back from her fieldwork and was struggling to get back into writing. we will eventually get there.

Studying French today after a long break of not practicing. Reading novels in French is a lot harder than practicing by watching shows, but I want to finally feel the accomplishment of finishing a complex fiction novel in French.

Despite having such a hard time proactively studying these days outside class, I made myself sit down for a little over an hour this evening and get some miscellaneous study things done. I added a post to the study blog on ~네(요), took some handwritten notes, and added some stuff to the cork board. Hopefully I can finish the rest of my to-do list tomorrow before Monday. Hey so I'm sick-ish.

Haven't been as productive as I want to be, so perhaps being sick is the punishment. Anyways, guess who has one bang energy drink and a desperate need to do well in all of these classes?

I'm gonna give you the game plan just in case I crash really bad from it:

Now - 6pm: Finish up Research Paper. I'm like 75% done with it, but I also need to find more sources and quotes which is going to take up a good bit of time. I'll find time to circle back to it if need be.

7pm - 12am: Work on the Take-Home Midterm. My differential equations professor is really chill and I can ask him questions about the exam if I can get a good amount of it done tonight. I really need to perfect this exam, so I gotta lock in for this.

1am - 4am: Study for physics. I'm almost done reviewing chapter 25, so all I need to go is go over chapter 26 and 27 a bajillion times, especially chapter 26.

Then work at 8am so leave for the bus at 7:20.

After my exam at 5:30pm, I'll submit my research paper before midnight, then continue working on the midterm.

If I can get through that, I'll mostly be set. Then go to student gov/delegate elections since I'm trying to pass off my delegate role for next year. And I can get home by 5:30ish, then I need to start working on my commission sheet because I'm a vendor at an art market next weekend.

And then I'll find some time to squeeze in doing the weekly assignments for each class.

Does this sound like an okay plan? I'm not gonna get a full night of sleep for like two days lol
