You thought simply getting his throat sliced open and turning into a vampire could break him? Never. God bows down to him. He is Fate's Favorite. The fallen angel. The knight that kills the dragon. There is no mountain too high for Akutagawa.

a remark

While reading various works of the Japanese prose writer Ryunosuke Akutagawa (of course, having learned about him from the anime Bungo Stray Dogs), I noticed many interesting details and parallels between the anime version of Akutagawa and his prototype. Not by the man himself or his character, of course, but in his stories. I would like to share one, which i loved most. in the story “The Wandering Jew” or "Samayoeru yudayajin" attention was paid to such fruits as figs, for which the author even had to somehow justify himself with a postscript that he was talking about them because he wrote this above in story. And what's interesting is that the anime version of Akutagawa is known to love figs, and it's even his "favorite thing" along with old paintings and calligraphy, that may be a very cool detail or just a simple coincidence.
