Another question(s) about Nothing Feels Real!!
What does your manuscript progress look like? Is this the first draft? Second? Third??? Whatever draft number, is it completed? Can you give a percentage? How do you determine what and when to post?
Hello!! Thank you super much for the asks, I am very happy to share this answer!!
So, essentially; I write a Zero draft, which is the snippet that I posted!
Nothing Feels Real is not completed just yet; though, with that being said in my eyes, it will always be a Zero Draft!! I'll edit and edit forever and ever, and it will always have mistakes/potential loop hole/probable plot holes.. everything that a zero draft might have. So, I don't like adding big numbers to the draft (because they scare me).
How I decide when/what to post... well, I have my mom read the snippets that I enjoy greatly, and if she approves of them.. I post them!! I literally have a Document titled "NFR for mom to read," and I'll print them out for her so her eyes don't bother her too much.
Nothing Feels Real is ~25% of the way done, I think. I say this because I don't know the exact page number that it'll end up with; but scene wise, it's about a quarter of the way done!!
Question about Nothing Feels Real!
Is Seraphina’s name significant? Google says it means “burning one”. And why doesn’t she share it with anyone?
Hi! Thank you so much for the ask!! And great catch!!
Seraphina’s name is SUPER significant in the story. And the significance of her name lies in her street address!
Seraphina’s Name and Numbers:
Date of birth: 12-25-2003
Address: 1736 Destiny Lane.
Destiny Number - 1
Soul Urge Number - 7
Personality Number - 3
Life Path Number - 6
The Destiny number derives from the name, and describes ones talents and attributes. It also defines the name holders life opportunities and destiny. What they should aspire to be. Unlike the Life Path number which reads as you ARE, the Expression number more correctly reads as you MUST.
1 as the Destiny Number:
Independent
Positive Traits - excellent leader, independent, ambitious, strong willed, creative, inventive
Negative Traits - stubborn, domineering, impatient
Careers - entrepreneur, manager, inventor, scientist
Your number one kid will be a number one kid. Born leaders, they will love to direct both the children and adults around them. They are self-confident and self-reliant. They will always have a creative idea and the desire to act upon it. Their in-born independence should serve them well when dealing with peer-pressure. Gentle reminders about respect for others should help your number one from becoming domineering.
The Soul Urge number derives from the name vowels, and reflects one's heart's desires. It describes the name holder's inner yearnings, likes and dislikes. Although it is considered a core influence, it is less important than the Life Path or Expression / Destiny numbers because it reflects inner feelings that are kept private and are not frequently exposed to others.
7 as the Soul Urge number:
Spiritual
Positive Traits - analytical, intellectual, spiritual, contemplative, focused
Negative Traits - aloof, suspicious, selfish
Careers - clergy, researcher, teacher, philosopher
Seven Soul Urgers come into the world with a strong spiritual sense and need to connect with nature. Sevens like to explore and learn about the world around them. They feel most content by thoughtful and intellectual endeavors.
The Personality Number derives from the name consonants, and is sometimes considered the mask which one wears in public. It indicates how one presents themselves to the world and vice versa, how one is perceived by others. The personality that one displays to the world may be very different from their true nature.
3 as the personality number:
Playful
Positive Traits - creative, social, playful, optimistic, happy, motivating
Negative Traits - disorganized, emotional, irresponsible
Careers - writer, actor, musician, entertainer
Three children are frequently perceived as the life of the party. They project an outgoing nature full of fun, spontaneity, and creativity. Threes love to laugh and to make people laugh and have a joyous way about them.
The Life Path number derives from the birth date, and represents who one is at birth, and the inborn traits that they will take with them throughout life. It describes the nature of the name holder's life's journey.
6 as the life path number:
Loving
Positive Traits - compassionate, loving, generous, responsible, humble, charismatic
Negative Traits - emotional, too generous
Careers - teacher, artist, clergy
A Life Path of six describes a born nurturer. The desire to feel needed and loved causes the six to act as a predominant caretaker whether at home, at school or the workplace. Likewise, six will most likely become involved in their community and humanitarian organizations. Six is the most domestic of the Life Path numbers. Sixes are responsible and reliable and thrive when they feel needed.
To answer your second question, I’ve taken from some other beliefs the idea of giving someone your name is to give them power over you. And as the story progresses, we will see that Seraphina is a pretty powerful force! I won’t go into too much more detail on that, but just know she is very powerful.
Once again, thank you super much for the ask, I love rambling about this story; please oh please keep the asks coming!!

Hello everybody!! Below the cut is a snippet of my current (obsession) WIP titled Nothing Feels Real which I currently love so far; and I’d like all of you to read it as well!!
I’m always up for some constructive criticism/feedback on how to improve my writing! So feel free to let me know these things.
As it stands, I do not have a Wattpad/AO3 account, so once I get either of these things I’ll most likely let everyone here know too! But; for now, this is what I have!!
I don’t think there are any needed trigger warnings for this snippet, but if you think there should be just let me know!!
