im blearning lender
goober (and what it looked like before subdividing and sculpting. the modelling took like 4 times longer than the sculpting but contributed like 10% to the looks, im learning blender is very "let yourself cook"-heavy)
so i got this creature design idea for the king in yellow/ john and i don't know if im going a wee bit overboard, but ive been considering running a game of call of cthulhu so i was flipping through the monsters in the keepers guide and just really wanted to make something truly eldritch bc im real bored of all the basic ass flesh and tentacles.
so, the eagles name us altradler which is definitely a play on alt=old and adler=eagle but he thew an r in there to change it up a bit and makes it sound like its based on radler which is a drink made of half lager and half lemon soda
in coming out of a depressive episode and have more energy which is great but also im becoming more impulsive again and i cant stop thinking about buying a kiln. i dont really have the space for one nor could i currently afford it (tho it would not be completely outside my means to buy one if i saved up for a bit which is only strengthening the demon on my shoulder insisting i need to get into making earthenware). i just keep thinking of how expensive flower pots are and of the cool hides i could make for my snakes and of making cool like historic looking pottery for the home. microwaving my lunch on an ancient greek fish plate. man i want a kiln. and a loom. but i might get myself a loom thats so much more realistic.
normal: using a fictional character's canon last name (ash ketchum)
funny: using the name of the show as the character's last name because they don't have a canon last name (adora she-ra)
very funny: using the name of the show as the character's last name even though they have a canon last name (finn adventuretime)
extremely funny: using the name of the show as the character's last name even though the name of the show already contains the character's name (steven stevenuniverse)
absolute ridicule: using the name of the show as the characters last name even though the name of the show contains both the characters first and last name (spongebob spongebobsquarepants)
happy Halloween behold my pumpkins
i was supposed to have 4 done by now but i got too ambitious
current WIP, making a bunch of moss and lichen variations for the embroidery mashine to patch up old pants and make them look all overgrown. might work on some tree fungi and a few other species of lychen too eventually
should all layer well too, made sure that the patches aren't too thick, so hopefully i can really puzzle these together to cover a lot of fabric
angel of the hunt
did also print a few minis and managed to paint one. its a heroforge model of the sheep werewolf dude i sketched a while back, really happy with his design even tho i have like no story ideas for him
dragon from the pub
why is posting online so anxiety inducing to me. im an extrovert irl but for some reason posting online makes me freak out and delete like 90% of my posts right before posting what is my problem for real. keep trying to make this more of almost a public diary thing to help with that but boy im evidently quite shit at this so far.
yk, cant find the post this was a response to anymore but like, my family rents apartments and the best way to see that landlords are full of shit is to be one. we charge less than half of the going rate in the area and replace shit when it breaks and its not even fucking hard. we only got 6 apartments so its a bit hard to really life off on its own (mind you, for a full family, not alone) but like, it wouldn't be hard to do it as a full "career" ethically too of you already had more. seeing people who own full ass huge buildings pull all the shit they do is actually even more shocking if you've done it yourself dont let people say shit like, "well, you dont know what its like to actually be a landlord, theres actually so much more to it" like no there fucking isnt mate. our house is literally medieval and requires so much more fucking upkeep (comparatively, its really not so bad tho tbh) and we still rent it out for half the price than the other far more modern buildings in our fucking street. the building next to where im typing this rant rents a fucking prison cell sized room with a shared kitchen and bath for 500 fucking euro, i pay only a little more for my three rooms this industry is a fucking disgrace and the more you understand about the actual job the worse it gets.
Maintaining a diversity of ongoing personal projects is important because it enables you to procrastinate on one by aimlessly tinkering with another, thereby creating the possibility that you'll finish one of them by accident.
