Now that the art festival season is over, I am doing some new work, including one very exciting commission! This painting will be 5ftx7ft, which is by far the largest piece I have ever done. I’m not exactly sure where I will work on it in my teeny house– there will be some rearranging of furniture, that’s for certain! I’m so looking forward to getting started, it’s going to be such an awesome adventure of a project! This image is the rough sketch I will be working from.

Weekend Warriors: It’s Arts Fest BABY!

The Columbus Arts Festival weekend is nigh, and since I’ve been living and breathing this Festival for the last several months, this week’s blog is going to share some of what I have learned.

Honestly, we have so much going on at the Fest this year that you could come every day and find something new to amuse you.

Of course Cbus is a big city and there are plenty of other fun things to do and you can do a search of events at ColumbusMakesArt.com for nice robust list.

If you are new to Columbus or simply have never tried out the Columbus Arts Festival(what?!) then the first thing you need to know is that more than 300 artists are coming from all over the country (and abroad) to exhibit and sell their work.
