Standing near the entrance with one hand in his pocket and the other tipping a bottle of beer back so he could finish it off, Wyatt surveyed the building he was considering pitching to Nora for them to buy and convert into their restaurant. It was old as hell and had fallen to pretty extreme disrepair, but with some, well, more like a whole lot of renovations, he thought he could imagine it taking shape into the kind of establishment he and Nora were dreaming up.
But before he did that, before he brought her here, he wanted the opinion of his two best friends. Plus, it was a Wednesday night in Mystic and it wasn’t like there was much else to do. So he’d bought a six pack, picked Ben & Alex up and brought them over to the dump that could maybe, possibly, potentially be part of his next career move. “So what do y’all think?” he asked, calling out after his friends who had moved further into the building to check it out. “I know it’s nowhere near as glamorous as The 401,″ he scoffed, looking over at Alex, “but I think it could have potential.”
Alex was just the right person to be taking along, considering everyone had attempted to talk him out of the warehouse he’d purchased, thinking it’d be too much trouble. But he knew it had potential, and truthfully, there was potential in this building, too. He could just see it. Beer bottle in hand, cigarette in the other, he finds a nearby seat, weathered and unused. The place was a mess, but once cleaned up.. it could be a hell of a restaurant. “I say you go for it,” he says, before sucking in a sharp breath, inhaling the smoke that aided him in keeping a constant cool. “It’s got potential, dude. Do you remember what the warehouse looked like before I transformed it? You’ve got the room here to do whatever the hell you want. Just gotta clean it up, and envision what you want out of it. What kind of restaurant are you two thinking?”
