Rosie nodded her head, “ Tell me about it, and yet I still have tons of papers to go through when I get home.”

“Life of the police, right?” She laughed, knowing she had pretty much the same thing to do.

elliot-everett:

“Thank you for that. I guess I’m just letting my thoughts run wild a little bit right now.” Elliot smiled over at her for a moment. “Good, I was hoping you would say that. Nice little getaway just the two of us. No interruptions or anything like that.”

She hoped he knew that she was there for him, even with everything. “That sounds absolutely perfect to me. Just what we need, I think.”

“Sounds great to me,” She told her before giving her a grateful smile, “ It’s really nice though to have someone with me.”

Alex smiled. “Of course! Us girls gotta stick together, right?” She chuckled, looking around briefly but they seemed to be alone and at least it wasn’t too far to go. “God, I’m exhausted... that was such a long day.”

Rosie nodded a bit, “ Yeah probably. I don’t really know why I’m so jumpy.” She told her, even though she knew the truth as to why. “ You’re right, and yes please. Would be nice if I wasn’t alone on the way home.”

“Come on then.” Alex chuckled, moving and linking arms with her and leading her along the street. “Let’s get you home.”

“Yeah, I’m fine. Just thinking about Nina, the twins, Brad. Just everything.” He smiled when she kissed his cheek. “I’m also thinking that we could have a date night. Just you and me. No phones, no interruptions. Just us.”

“If you need to talk, I’m right here.” Alex smiled lightly, hoping he was alright. She knew it was a lot. “That sounds perfect, honestly.” She grinned, nodding. She felt like she hadn’t seen him as much as she’d have liked to.

Rosie sighed in relief as she noticed someone familiar, “ Sorry. Just I feel as though I was hearing footsteps since I left the station.”

“Really?” Alex frowned a little. She was sure she hadn’t been that loud... had she? “I’m sure it’s nothing, probably just... people going home.” Though in this town you couldn’t be too careful, right? “I can walk with you now if you like.”

Rosie knew that it was bad to walk home at night from her shift. But her car wasn’t working and there was no she would use her patrol car. She can hear footsteps behind her, and the flashbacks came back to when she was followed home as a child at night. “ I have a gun and I’m not afraid to use it!” She yelled out to whoever it was behind her. @secretsummerstarters

Elliot shoved a piece of paper into the file that he just took it from. Sighing a little bit. He shook his head some. That was when he glanced up and seen Alexandra. “Hey.” He did his best to smile. “I have a suggestion for you if you want to hear it.”

Alex smiled lightly when he noticed her. She liked watching him sometimes, he looked so thoughtful. “Hey... you okay?” She asked, moving over and pressing a kiss to his cheek. “Sure - what’s up?”
