basically the heart of Deimos quest lmao
it came to me in a dream
I think we need to discuss what The Hex looks like from The Scaldra side given they have no clue of anything regarding Warframes.
January 12th 1999, Viktor Vodyanoi is baffled that 50+ new members joined The Hex litterally overnight.
He has no idea which of them, if any, are the Drifter Nightingale keeps talking to on the coms.
Oh my god this idea is so funny
Honestly go read the tags and reblogs yourself because it's hysterical, here's my thanks for making me almost piss myself
yeah im definitely gonna just use this for existential rants, live for this shit
Dare To Dream
The power to dream is pervasive throughout the animal kingdom; animals as large as elephants all the way down to spiders dream; humans are no different. Yet humans hold the power to chase their dreams, have the drive to follow them. Humanity's greatest advantage is daring to dream. We crawled from the slime, staring up at the sky. We saw the sun and dreamed of catching its power in a bottle. We struck rocks against rocks till we saw sparks, and we grasped those sparks to make fire. We dreamt of conquering the dark, and we did so through flame. We dreamt of food, so we hunted; we dreamt of others, so we created society; we dreamt of conquering scarcity, so we created agriculture. Humanity has always dreamt and always chased those dreams. We have dreamt and strived so far; we are touching the very stars we first set our eyes upon at our genesis. We have strived so far; we are even looking past the very stars in the sky. Humanity's dreams are our greatest power; humanity's unshakeable yearning for more, for greater, is what has driven us to the apex of this small pale blue speck of dust. Daring to dream is the most fundamentally human action; seizing that dream is what the human animal was born to do. dream to be better, dream to go further, dream to save, dream to fight, dream to struggle. Never stop dreaming; by doing so, you fail at being human. Don't let the cosmically overwhelming storm of reality break you and push you into indifference; dream to grasp that storm and control it; dream to master the forge of creation and conquer reality.
Humanity
We live in an age of nightmares and rage; we live in an age of dreams and wonder. We are on the cusp of destruction and creation. The world has never been closer to annihilation, and yet we are the closest we've ever been to the upheaval of the human condition. We stand at the precipice of human knowledge and advancement; we stand atop the shoulders and the corpses of countless generations, and we will keep climbing, building the mountain of human advancement till we pierce the skies and beyond. Some people don't seem to notice the wonders at our fingertips. In an era of unprecedents and uncertainty, we have the power to cure suffering right at our fingertips. Stem cells could cure ageing, CRISPR could cure genetics, and vaccines can cure disease. We are on the brink of conquering death itself. No matter how bad things get, humanity never stops climbing; no matter how much people wish to cling to the ground, we are all moving skyward. Those who cling to the past, those who kick and scream and cry about how things were better before, are blind to how things will be better after. They will be left behind, seen in the annals of time as fools, tyrants, and dents in human history. Those who refuse to follow the endless flow of time will one day be consumed by it. No matter how bad things get, no matter how shit everything seems, we as a species will never stop; the old die, the new are born, old ideas are subsumed by the populace, and drift into obscurity. Humanity stands, hands touching the sky, eyes staring into the endless, mind poised to wonder. Never stop wondering, never stop hoping, never stop fighting, never stop reaching for the future. No matter how divided we are, we are all unified in the flow of time.
immortality
You've gained immortality, the only being in existence to do so. You watch kingdoms, nations, entire civilisations fall and become dust over and over. You've watched the continents shift and mountains be flattened by the endless march of time, the only constant, you watching. Relationships with others mean nothing; like a human becoming friends with a mayfly, their lifetimes are so infinitesimal in comparison to your own. Lifetimes pass you by in a blink; the longer you live, the faster time seems to move, the sun and the stars appear simultaneous, the turning of the earth now a constant dizzying spin. Soon the earth falls away around you, engulfed by the magnitude from the expanding sun. You simply stand, basking in the intense glow, the all-consuming heat, the great mother in the sky from which your species crawled out of the slime to see. In what feels like an instant, the light is gone, the great eternal light that lay in the sky all of your life, gone, dust just as everyone you left behind. Time, like you, continues onward. New stars form before your eyes; new planets and solar systems spawn from the ashes of what once was. Then, like all things, they become dust once more. The cycle repeats over and over, your perception speeding. You feel it grow colder, even colder than the coldness of the vacuum you hang in. The universe continues to grow, to age, to decay. Stars spawn slower and slower; solar systems grow more and more sparse; galaxies start to disintegrate before your eyes. You feel the atoms of your body slipping, the emptiness and the endless march forward dragging upon them; you feel yourself being pulled apart by entropy's guiding hand. Slowly, as the universe's light grows too distant to even be called an ember, so does your body, its atoms splitting, its quarks scattering to the cosmic void, and yet you persist, your consciousness hanging, splayed across the dimming stars until you blink. Everything feels warm and tingly, the hottest heat you have ever felt, a burning embrace breaking the mind-numbing cold. You expand, stars exploding in what you once thought was your chest, energy bouncing around your form, pure and untethered. In a solitary cosmic blink, your body reforms not as it once was but built of the vastness of the cosmos, cells of stars and nebulae at your core. You cling with great strength to hold yourself together, pulling even the very light that adorns you now into itself. You can feel yourself growing apart. You feel the cold nipping at your celestial hands, so you grasp at everything you are, every star, every planet, every speck of space dust. You keep holding. and holding, but you find yourself hanging in the emptiness once more, then the heat, then the cold. a maddening dance of birth, death, and rebirth, all while you watch as it continues accelerating. This is the nature of eternity. Time never stops progressing. Space never stops moving; the only constant is you and your eternal suffering and your stagnancy. You are the universe, and you must either suffer or accept the endless ebb and flow of existence.
Trying to explain Warframe to new people is impossible without sounding absolutely insane. It's like, if a game had an identity crisis...but in a good way. An identity buffet, if you will. There's so much in this game it's sensory overload.
You like space dogfights? Rogue-lites? Fishing, mining, player housing? How about Guitar Hero, space shanties, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater? Let's not forget the dating sim. Oh yeah, you can add a birthing QTE rhythm minigame too, because why not. I'm waiting for the inevitable sex update, cause y'know, we've gotten this far without imploding, so it might as well happen. Like what the fuck even is this game anymore. Nobody knows! Not even the devs themselves. It's all held together by dreams, duct tape and vibes at this point, but somehow it works.
Hop on Warframe, we have:
Bionicle meets Neon Genesis Evangelion
12 yr olds turning the geneva conventions into a checklist
your trans robot mom who has DID
old man yaoi
a traumatized group of bisexuals fighting the Y2K bug
an autistic child and his fidget spinner solos god
a fish voiced by Astarion
workers' union committing terrorism against capitalists
incel who tries to destroy the sun because he fumbled a bad bitch (she took the kids)
a boyband that you have to slay for weapons
and an eldritch entity beyond human comprehension that can only be defeated by the power of love
And if you think all that sounds unhinged out of context, don't worry, It's just as unhinged with context.
Where is the madoka fandom on here, and how much madohomu shipping is in it
