Sometimes I just really wish there was more literature about human relationships from a leftist perspective just by making a quick search on the internet, because I donโt really want to read a long pdf everytime I want to check something

The concept of cooking changes between cultures, dependidng on the ingredients, recipes and ways of making food. In korean, there are many different words for different techniques.
ํ๊ธฐ๋ค is used for frying things inmersed in cooking oil, like fries.ย
๋ณถ๋ค is used for frying things with little oil, like bacon or omelettes.
๊ณฑ๋ค means to bake, to roast and to grill. You can use it on bread, steak or chiken indinsticly!
์ง์ง๋ค and ๋ถ์น๋ค are not that used. When their are used in cuisine, they mean frying things that need to be flipped, like pancakes.
Letโs put this in practice:

Korean This vs That Word Differences #3
์์ vs ์์
Both of these meanย โinsideโ, as in, one object inside another. However ์์ is normally used to talk about things that are inside objects that can be opened, such as a box, a jar, a drawer etc (e.g. ๊ณ ์์ด๋ ์์ ์์ ์์ด์ - The cat is inside the box), whereas ์์ is used to talk about things that are inside objects that cannot be opened, such as the heart, the stomach, the mind (e.g. ๋ด ๋ง์ ์์ ์ ์ฅ! - You are saved in my heart). As you can tell, usually the things you would use ์์ for are not often physical objects being inside something.
๋ฐฉ๋ฒ vs ๋ฐฉ์
Both of these meanย โwayโ orย โmethodโ, like in the phrase โThere is a right way and a wrong wayโ. ๋ฐฉ๋ฒ is the more commonly used word and refers to a way/method that takes you from beginning to end of something, such asย โDo you know the way to use this?โ (์ด๊ฒ์ ์ฌ์ฉํ๋ ๋ฐฉ๋ฒ์ ์์์?)ย orย โDo you know the best way/method to get to the library?โ (๋์๊ด์ ๊ฐ๋ ๊ฐ์ฅ ์ข์ ๋ฐฉ๋ฒ์ ์์์?). On the other hand ๋ฐฉ์ is used more for talking about things that persist and donโt normally end, such asย โA way of thinkingโ (์ฌ๊ณ ๋ฐฉ์)ย orย โA way of livingโ (์ํ ๋ฐฉ์) orย โA method of paymentโ (์ง๋ถ ๋ฐฉ์)ย orย โThatโs just our way of doing things!โ (๊ทธ๊ฑด ๊ทธ๋ฅ ์ฐ๋ฆฌ ๋ฐฉ์์ด์ผ!)ย There are more ways to sayย โwayโ orย โmethodโ but these are the oneโs you might commonly see
๊ฑฐ๋ถํ๋ค vs ๊ฑฐ์ ํ๋ค
These are really similar but just vary in strength/degree. Both mean rejection or refusal. ๊ฑฐ์ means refusal/rejection in the sense ofย โnot accepting somethingโ (e.g.ย ๋๋ ๋์ ๊ฑฐ์ ์ ๊ฑฐ์ ํ๋ค - I refuse your refusal)ย but ๊ฑฐ๋ถ means strongly reject/repel (e,g,ย ๋ด ๋ชธ์ด ์ฝ์ ๊ฑฐ๋ถํ๊ณ ์์ด์ - my body is rejecting the medicine). If you used ๊ฑฐ๋ถ to refuse someone, it is a pretty huge refusal and means youโre probably not going to change your mind about it.
๋ฌ๊ฑ vs ๊ณ๋
There are lots of words like this where the meaning of the word is exactly the same, but the only difference is whether one is Sino-Korean and the other Native Korean.ย ๋ฌ๊ฑ is the native Korean word for egg, whereas ๊ณ๋ (which is commonly taught first) is the Sino-Korean word for egg. Itโs okay to use either and actually both are used interchangeably, however its more common these days for people to opt for the native Korean word, therefore ๋ฌ๊ฑ is worth knowing.
์๋ฌดํผ vs ์ด์จ๋ vs ์ด์ฐจํผ
All of these meanย โanywayโ and these arenโt the only ways to expressย โanywayโ either, however you will hear these rather a lot and there are slightly different uses for each of these. ์๋ฌดํผ is heard a lot when changing topic or conversation (e.g. ์๋ฌดํผ, ๋ด์ผ ๋ญํด? - Anyway, what are you doing tomorrow?). However, it can also be used to say โin any caseโ or โwhatever the resultโ (e.g. ๋ด์ผ ๋น๊ฐ ์ฌ์ง๋ ๋ชฐ๋ผ. ์๋ฌดํผ ์ฐ๋ฆฌ๋ ์์ง ๊ฐ ๊ฑฐ์ผ - It might rain tomorrow. Anyway [in any case], weโre still going). ์๋ฌดํผ is quite a casual term and is sometimes regarded as slang, therefore if you are using it to expressย โin any caseโ to someone that you are not close with, you might want to use ์ด์จ๋ instead.
์ด์จ๋ meansย โeither wayโ, โanywayโ,ย โin any caseโ,ย โanyhowโ. When it is used, it comes across in quite a neutral way, which is why it is often thought of asย โeither wayโ - it comes across as you striking the middle ground between views, therefore it is quite a relaxed way of sayingย โanywayโ (e.g.ย ์ด์จ๋ , ๋๋ ๊ฒฐ์ ํ ์ ์์ดย - Anyway, you can decide, or ์ด์จ๋ , ๊ทธ๊ฒ์ ์์ง ๋ฉ์๋ค์! - Anyway [either way], itโs still cool!).
Finally, ์ด์ฐจํผ is derived from Hanja and has a slightly different meaning - it is used to express that something is going to happen eventually, such asย ์ด์ฐจํผ ์ผ์ด๋ ์ผ์ด์์ -ย โItโs going to happen anywayโ. Further examples =ย ์ด์ฐจํผ ์์ด๋ฒ๋ฆด ๊ฑฐ์์ -ย โYouโre going to lose it anywayโ,ย ์ด์ฐจํผ ์ด ๊ฑฐ์์ - โIโm going to buy it anywayโ.

In Korean we donโt say โwristโ or โankleโ we say โ์๋ชฉ (sonmog)โ and โ๋ฐ๋ชฉ (balmog)โ which literally translate to โhand neckโ and โfoot neckโ and I think thatโs the greatest, most relatable thing ever.

์ง๋ค salty/strong flavour
๋ฌ๋ค sweet
์ฐ๋ค bitter
ํฌ๋ค big
์๋ค small
์ข๋ค good (I hear this one REALLY often)
๋์๋ค bad
์ฌ๋ฏธ์๋ค fun
This may help you remember ๋์๋ค. In the songย โDangerโ by BTS, V singsย โ ๋ ๋ด๊ฒ ๋๋ฌด ๋๋น โ. Itโs traduction isย โYou are too bad for meโ

Sweet can be also traduced as ๋ฌ์ฝคํ๋ค. Both words mean practically the same. Idk why, I hear the last one way more often in songs (For example, Twice, Fancy).
Never confuse ๋ฌ๋ค, sweet, with ๋ค๋ฅด๋ค, different.
