hey guys!! so, as you may have noticed, i’ve been veeeery inactive lately - i started to be really unhappy & stressed when it comes to rping, like?? i just don’t enjoy writing anymore      which is definitely not about you guys!! y’all are literal angels & awesome writers! plus, i definitely loved all of our plots! it feels like it’s just my time to move on for a while?? i might reapply the next summer tho, we’ll see about that! i know i had important plots with some of you all and i really can’t apologize enough for leaving the group all of a sudden, like, i know it’s really a messed up situation, but i was just literally forcing myself to write lately and?? i guess it’s unfair to you, too? like, refilling your connections with an active partner instead of an inactive one would be for the best <3 ANYWAYS i feel like i’m just rambling, it’s 1am here & i’m so sleepy sdfghf in short, i love you all SO MUCH and i apologize to each & every one of you, even if i don’t return, this group will always be in my heart <3 if you want to stay in touch, you can find me on d.scord ( dilan 🌞#1755 ) or on my personal!! i might be leaving the group but that doesn’t mean that we can’t talk <3 goodbye & i love youu!!

MAX RAVENNIGHT.

max watched with a fond ( and slightly amused ) smile as his sister spoke, his gaze alternating between her, the small goat and the people giving them weird looks. it made sense, he supposed ─ it wasn’t everyday that one saw a goat at the institute, of all places. surely weirder things have happened, though. “you’re not asking me to come up with a name for her, are you?” he asked with a hint of a grin on his lips, reaching out to pet the animal. “i’m not sure naming goats is one of my skills, but i could give it a try for you.”

     “  i might be doing that,  ”  alex said in response, holding back her laughter. “  you and me both, brother,  ” she replied when max pointed out that he was lacking the skill of finding names for goats. to be honest, she was bad at naming anything. it was always hard to decide whether she wanted the name to be a pop culture reference, based on a meaningful person or memory, or just something completely ordinary. with max’s last words, her lips curved up into a giant grin.  “  and that is exactly why i love you !     yes, i love you because you can help to name my goat. i’m a fantastic sister. i know. now, since i’m giving you the honor of naming my goat... what you got ? any ideas ?  ”

    “  i guess you’re forgetting that not everyone has a lot of free time in their hands, grandpa. after the merprincess incident, we’re so much busier now. plus, i also have to deal with being the clave’s lab rat.  ”  shrugging her shoulders as if it was nothing, the shadowhunter continued. “  how are things on your side ? did you finally get grey hair ? being an old man must be hard.  ”

       the voice that splinters through his restless sleep is familiar if exceedingly irritating in this current moment. heavy lids snap open, eyes instantly narrowed as he growls out her name. “alex-” alaric winces as his gaze drifts to the clock. 11am. daylight. “what do you want ??” he grumbles, tugging the covers over his head. like most other things after his death, the vampire refuses to shed any of his human lifestyle. “it’s the middle of the night.”

       a long-lasting laugh escaped the shadowhunter’s mouth with the reaction she received.  “  you should’ve     you should’ve seen your face.  ”  she replied in between her laughter.  “  it was absolutely priceless.  ”  finally being able to soothe herself, she shook her head, sitting on the bed next to him.  “  it’s the middle of the night for you. for me, it’s a pretty reasonable time to come here and bother you.  ”  shrugging her shoulders, alex continued.  “  i don’t know, i guess i wanted to spend some time with you. would you die if you didn’t get your beauty sleep ?  ”

      “  nothing,  ”  she repeated with disbelief.  “  of course. do i look that dumb ?      no, don’t answer that.  ”  shaking her head, alex sat next to her friend, the slight smile on her features slowly turning into a concerned look.  “  what have you been thinking about ?  ”  she asked, avoiding the question to make sure that her friend was okay first.

     the fact that it was so easy to enter hotel dumort, especially ever since the pairs system started, made the shadowhunter very glad. because if things weren’t this way, she wouldn’t be in the room alaric stayed right now, leaning into his ear and getting ready to annoy the hell out of him. everything was pretty quiet, all the vampires were asleep, after all & she had a silence rune      well, that was until alex shouted  “  LARRY !!  ”  very, very loudly into her bond partner’s ear.

      “  you know what ? i still couldn’t find a name for her.  ”  alex spoke, staring at her goat. she was petting an actual, bloody goat in the los angeles institute      how come she wasn’t kicked out of there yet ? (  well, if you asked her, she’d blame quill for the goat        after all, he was the one that gifted the goat to her on her birthday.  )  “  i sometimes call her baby, or sweetie. but those are not actual names       who’d name their goat sweetie ? that sounds ugly and wrong.  ”  ignoring the weird looks of people around them, she calmly caressed the top of her black goat’s head.
