▰▰ pairing: leo valdez x fem!reader
Leo never thought he’d enjoy sitting still and listening to someone read—until her. And maybe, just maybe, it's because he loves her.
mari talks! SO SORRY it took me so long to post this but I loveeed this idea so I tried so hardd to do it justice, and omg thank you for ur sweet message!! hope you enjoy this <3
warnings: Athena reader, no use of y/n, nothing else just fluff.
Leo Valdez is not one known for his ability of staying quiet, he's a demigod with adhd and his mind is always reeling with new ways of creating things, his hands always fidgeting. His thoughts don't stop even when he's sleeping.
That being said, there’s clearly not a lot of things that can calm him down.
But her? She's the exception.
She's so level-headed, so steady, so easily composed, like all the wisdom Athena's ever handed down just settled into her bones. And he's the complete opposite. But she's the only one able to calm him down, she's simply able to make the constant buzz in his brain slow down, like an engine finally cooling down after running too hot for too long.
He doesn’t know when it started, exactly—this habit of seeking her out whenever his brain felt like it was running a marathon it couldn't stop.
Every time he feels stressed, he goes to find her and just sits beside her while she's reading. She doesn't even comment on it, just gives him space to sit and keeps her eyes glued to her book.
He can sit beside her and watch her read the entire day. Not in a creepy way, obviously— he's not a weirdo (or maybe he is, who knows). But there's something so peaceful about the way her fingers trace the edges of the pages, the way her brow furrows when she's deep in thought, the way she absentmindedly bites her lip when she's concentrating. how she looks like she's in her own little world, a world he desperately wants to be part of.
And then, one afternoon, everything changes.
Leo is absolutely frustrated, storming out of Bunker nine because his latest invention is giving him problems and refusing to cooperate, only to make his way to her cabin, where she can be found curled up in her bed, a book in her hand.
She barely looks up before scooting over to make some room for him. A silent acknowledgement. And he takes the offer straight away, the same way he always does.
For the first few minutes, everything is exactly as it always is. No questions. No talking. But maybe she can sense he's a little more frustrated today than he usually is, because he catches her looking at him from the corner of her eye and then— she starts talking. No, not just simply talking. Reading out loud.
She looks so unbothered that Leo questions wether she's doing it for him or just because she simply enjoys it. But he doesn't question it. Instead, he allows himself to relax as her words fill the air, his shoulders loosening and his face softening.
Without meaning to, he catches himself actually feeling interested in the book. "What's is it about?"
The smile she gives him is almost enough to make his heart stop for a second. "Ancient battle tactics, wanna keep hearing?"
And gods, of course he did.
He nods, and they spend the rest of their afternoon there. Then it just kind of becomes their afternoon routine, he only used to drop by some times before, but now he doesn’t even try to come up with excuses, sitting beside her to listen to her read is just exactly what his every afternoon needs.
Sometimes, he'd ask questions just to make sure she knew he was listening. Other times, he'd close his eyes and just exist in the sound of her voice, letting it anchor him.
But he doesn’t notice how much he truly feels for her until one specific afternoon.
They're on her cabin, as usual, and she has her head resting on his lap, the book she's reading held on the air in front of her face while reciting paragraphs from it. Her voice is steady, smooth, wrapping around the words like they belong to her. And the world outside has faded in Leo's mind. It's just her.
He knows he should be paying attention. He really should. But he's not.
Instead, he's lost looking at her.
At the soft smile that grazes her lips every time she finishes a sentence, the way the late afternoon sun makes her hair glow, the strands of hair falling on her face that he absentmindedly pushes back.
His heart stutters.
oh.
oh.
oh no.
He's in love with her.
The thought nearly knocks the wind out of him. It’s not a slow realization. It’s a full-body, earth-shattering, life-changing revelation. Like he’s spent all this time walking around camp half-blood blindfolded, and someone just ripped the fabric away.
How could he not realize that sooner? he has probably been in love with her since the very first time he met her, probably since the second he started spending his afternoons tucked away on her cabin while she read.
And now he can see.
And all he sees is her.
"Are you okay?" She asks, lowering her book to look up at him, definitely noticing the panic in his face.
"Hm? yes, yeah of course." He nods, maybe a little too fast to be convincing. "What do you think about the book so far?"
That's just what he needs to get her to start rambling. This is one of his favorite parts of their little shared afternoons together, when she shares her thoughts with him. And now he realizes why. He loves the way she gets so passionate about the topic, the way she smiles and her eyes shine with excitement.
But once it's gone, there’s also a pang on his chest. He can't feel this. He can't allow himself to fall for her, because she would never fall for him in return. She's so graceful, and smart, and lovely and Leo is just— Leo.
By the time he returns to his cabin, he's fully freaking out. He doesn’t even get that much sleep, tossing around his bed and fidgeting until one of his siblings groans and throws a pillow at him to quiet him down.
The next day, he tries his absolute best to keep himself busy, he spends his whole day working in bunker nine and by the time the afternoon comes around, he's made up his mind to skip his daily cabin six visit.
"Don't look at me that way" he tells the head of Festus as if it's really judging him. "I just have to get over this stupid infatuation."
When in fact, he knew it was no infatuation at all. It was love. He never knew what this kind of love felt like before, but he was so sure of it now.
But what's Leo Valdez if not stubborn as hell? of course he'd spend dinner avoiding eye contact with her, of course he'd go to sleep only to have another night of relentlessly tossing around, of course this routine would repeat over and over again through the week until he was sure he hadn't closed his eyes to sleep in days.
And of course it doesn't work at all, because he has not been able to get her out of his head even when he's keeping his distance, he's aware of her eyes following him every time he walks into the pavilion, when something's frustrating him in bunker nine all he wants to do is go find her, and he even misses hearing her read. Those books were insteresting. And now he doesn't even know how the last one ends.
What the hell? how can he not even know how the last book ends? it was his favorite one from all the ones she had been reading to him. And now he doesn’t know how it ended. Just because he decided to be stupid and fall for her.
That's the thought that has him slipping away from his cabin when everyone else is already sleeping. He doesn't even realize where his feet are taking him until it's too late and he's already standing in front of her cabin. And he feels ridiculous, she's probably sleeping by now.
Except she's not.
It only takes him a couple steps closer to notice that the figure sitting by the porch is not a figment from his imagination, not something his sleep-deprived mind is making up. It's her. Sitting there, with a blanket wrapped around her shoulders and a book sitting on her lap.
And when she sees him, she doesn't even look half as surprised as he is right now. "Took you long enough."
He sits beside her quietly, not knowing what to do or say, he clearly didn’t expect for her to be waiting like this. "Can you tell me about the book ending?" he asks, his voice soft and hesitant.
And of course she does, she doesn't question the motives for his weird behavior the last few days, she doesn't comment on it. She just launches herself into a rant about the chapters he missed.
And just like that, every bit of tension in his body disappears.
The sleepless nights, the relentless frustration, the fear of not being good enough for her— it all just vanishes. It doesn't even make sense. It should take more effort to quiet the storm raging inside him, but somehow, with her, it never does.
His heart is still pounding, but this time it's not the usual fear he has been feeling for the last couple of days.
It's from love.
And before he can stop himself, before he can even process what he's about to do, the words he's been dreading slip past his lips like they were always meant to.
"I love you"
It's so sudden that he doesn’t even realize what he did until she stops talking. Mid-sentence. Mid-word, even. Her lips parted slightly, her eyes wide.
Leo immediately panics.
"I mean— uh—" He stutters through his words, his brain short-circuiting. "Forget that. That was just— words, you know? words are weird, they come out sometimes without—and—"
But then, the words die on his lips the moment she leans forward, grabs his collar and kisses him. Yeah, she kisses him. Leo. He's being kissed by his dream girl.
It's barely a peck, but it shuts him up real fast.
For the first time in his life, he feels the thoughts on his mind stop completely. His brain doesn’t compute what's happening for a long second. Then it does, and all he can think is Oh my gods, is this what heaven feels like?
When she pulls back, she even looks amused, her lips curving into a smile. "You talk too much."
His brain is still processing and all he can do is blink at her. "Uh— yes, probably."
And then, her smile grows bigger and her eyes shine just as much as the stars above them. Gods, he loves her so much. And even after that kiss, he's not expecting her to reciprocate the feeling until she talks. "Good thing I love you too."
Yes, that's enough to knock whatever air Leo had left out of his lungs. All he can do is stare at her, utterly dumbfounded and speechless, before a giddy grin spreads across his face.
"You love me?" his voice comes out high-pitched.
She laughs, and it's the best sound he's ever heard. And then— then she's leaning in to kiss him again. And that's honestly the best answer she could give to him.
There, under the stars, Leo knows reading afternoons will never be the same. And he’s fully okay with that.
Hello there! I am writing this to formally apologize. I am a writer and creator on Character A.I. and I was going through some old bots and realized I had a bot created by a story I read a longggg time back of yours. I realized I was younger/didn't know any better but still it was unacceptable. I have your tumbler username already in the credits and on the subtitle, but I still wanted to write and formally apologize. I am so sorry for not asking permission to use it first. I understand now that was rude, and inconsiderate. I wanted to ask if you would like me to take the bot down. It only has like 200 interactions, but still wanted to double check. Hope this wasn't weird and again, I am so sorry. Please let me know whenever you can reply. Have a lovely day! <3
Hi darling! Don’t worry at all, I don’t mind you taking inspiration from my stories to create a bot. But please, do send the link, cause I’m curious to see it! Have a lovely day as well 🫶🏻
I hope all’s going well with school, and that you’re getting enough rest! 💛
Hi Lynn, dear 🫶🏻🫶🏻
If I have to be honest my mental health at the moment isn’t great, school is going okay but I constantly feel crushed by the pressure, if you get what I mean? Trying to take time for myself to unwind and relax, but I never seem able to do that because I have loads of things to study, essays to turn in and many assignments. Your message made my day a bit better tho, so thanks for checking in 🫶🏻 How are things holding up for you?
annabeth: percy you take anything left, i’ll take anything right
percy: oka- wait, are you wearing my jacket?
annabeth, stabbing a gorgon: …maybe
percy, slicing a serpent in half: i’ve been looking for that!
annabeth, rolling and knocking empousi off their feet and stabbing them: it’s big and warm and smells like you. i was cold and needed something to wear. so this is what i grabbed.
percy, chuckling as he strangles an ogre: i’m okay with that
annabeth, stabbing basilisks: good, because i’m keeping it
percy, smashing two cyclops faces into the floor: it looks better on you anyway
annabeth, decapitates a chimera: *winks at him*
percy, casually lighting a hydra on fire and giving her a crooked smile: you know, i was thinking for tonight-

LEO AND Y/N’S GARAGE: AUTO REPAIR AND MECHANICAL MONSTERS
masterlist | rules
in which life after camp half-blood is everything you and leo could’ve wished for
pairing husband!leo valdez x wife!athena!reader
warnings none :)
on the radio . . . this is the life (amy macdonald), keep driving (harry styles)
an i read the bit w leo and calypsos repair shop in house of hades and knew what i had to do 👩🏼💻
Eventually, the scent of your lineage - half mortal, half Goddess - began to wear off. What once was the bane of your existence, singling you out as ‘different’ and putting you in danger from the moment you popped out of your mother’s brain, was now a faint odour, a mere memory of the life you once led and the people you knew.
Leo didn’t wear off, though. He could never. Your relationship had been unexpected by everyone who knew the two of you. Pristine, perfect Y/N, daughter of Athena, the girl who not only stayed within the lines but drew them herself, and Leo Valdez, a messy, wild son of Hephaestus. From the moment you laid eyes on him, you knew you wouldn’t stand him. He was persistent and annoying, never giving you a moment’s peace and tearing down the walls you so carefully built around yourself.
In the end, he grew on you, and you realised you had a lot more in common than you thought. For example, your love of machinery. For as long as you could remember, you gravitated towards wires and nuts and bolts, only stopping when you got to camp as your life became filled with training and learning about the side of the family you didn’t even know you had. You used to longingly stare at the Hephaestus kids, itching to pick up a wrench and join them as they made all sorts of weaponry. Now, you own your very own garage: Leo and Y/N’s Garage: Auto-repair and Mechanical Monsters.
It started off as a silly joke between you and Leo. You were newly graduated and after spending so much time taking care of the Godly side of your family, you forgot what life as a mortal was like. Sure, you always wanted to be a mechanic, but what now? You didn’t want to work for someone else. You spent your whole life working for other people and watching as everyone you loved had shrouds burnt for them (if they were lucky), so you thought it was only fair if you did something for yourself.
“We could always open our own garage,” Leo had said when you voiced your thoughts that day, “‘Leo and Y/N’s Garage: Auto-repair and Mechanical Monsters’ has a nice ring to it, right?”
You laughed, saying something along the lines of “get real, Valdez,” before deciding to help him as he cooked dinner. Little did you know, Leo was being real. The next morning, he started looking for places he could rent for your garage. A few months after that, he began furnishing it and months after that, he started advertising. Once he was sure that everything was perfect, he decided to show you his little project, a velvet box with a certain piece of very valuable metal weighing down his coat pocket.
Today marks the six year anniversary of the opening of your garage (as well as the six year anniversary of your engagement), and to say business was booming would be an understatement. It started off as a place for mortals only, they’d drop off their cars and the nicer ones would stay for a little to make small talk, marvelling at your stories of how you sailed from the US to Europe together on a ship Leo built himself (you censored a lot of your experiences, of course), but after you expanded the garage, making it almost twice as big as it was before, you thought, ‘Why not let this be a place for demigods, too?’
Hidden from the eyes of mortals, the second half of your garage comes to life. There, you sell weaponry, armour and anything a demigod could possibly need, as well as providing a safe haven for those who needed recuperation after a long and tiring quest. You loved meeting them all, giving them advice and comfort as proof that things do get better and not all demigods die at the age of 16.
“Leo, have you seen Espe?” You yelled, wiping the grime from your hands as you realised your daughter had gone missing. Your son was too young to be at the garage and usually you’d stay with him, but your hands were itching for a hammer and your dear sister and brother-in-law offered to babysit, so why not let them? Your daughter was another case. She seemed to have inherited her parents’ inability to sit still and love for making things, insisting on spending all her time at work with the two of you as soon as she could walk.
On cue, Leo waltzed into the mortal side of the garage, your first born daughter, named Esperanza after his mother, in one arm and a toolbox in the other. “She decided to amuse herself with daddy’s magic toolbelt,” he said, sitting down on a nearby stool and placing her on his lap, “summoned about 50,000 gummy bears. I’m surprised she managed to override the cooldown on it, I’ve been trying to figure that out for years”
“Gummy bear?” She asked, looking up at Leo then at you, a grin - one she clearly got from her father - gracing her lips as she suddenly seemed interested in your conversation, making the two of you break into fits of laughter, which in turn made her laugh. Did she know what she was laughing about? No, but it didn’t matter anyway.
Unbeknownst to the two of you, you were being watched. Sydney and Aaron, the two demigods you were hosting as the former’s leg healed, were going to tell you that they were good to leave tomorrow when they stopped, noticing you were having a moment.
“It’s hard to remember they’re demigods too,” Aaron began, “they seem so… normal. No chaos, no monsters, nothing,” he stared longingly at you, then down at the girl next to him. Could they have that too?
As if she read his mind, Sydney took his hand in hers and smiled, “we’ll make it, trust me. They went through a lot before this, remember? They were part of the last great prophecy. If they can do it, so can we.”
If you had told your past self that you’d marry the one boy who managed to get under your skin, start a family with him and open not just a garage, but a place where demigods could feel a sliver of normalcy, you would’ve laughed in your own face.
heyyy lovely, how you been? hope all’s treating you well! i was working on some writing (and struggling to do so) when decided to pop in to say hai for a healthy break>.<
Hi Lynn! Tbh I was just hit by a terrible cold (and it sucks, cause I feel shitty but I still have to attend classes) but I’m trying to manage :/ Seeing your message put a smile on my face tho! 🤧🫶🏻 I hope everything is going smooth for you, and don’t worry, I know how much of a struggle it can be with coming up with ideas and writing them down (frfr) I can’t wait for exams to end and finally enjoy the summer😭
i like to think if annabeth and percy ended up living around mortals they would tell their friends abt some of the stuff they went through bc they can’t really hide it forever except they make it sound like their family’s part of the greek mafia
a lot of “yeah my dads…influential…in greece”
or “my moms,,pretty powerful in greece,, yeah she’s up there lol..anyway”
like they make it sound like maybe poseidon and athena are two “business CEO’s” who butt heads but everyone thinks their two mafia leaders who hate eachother
annabeth slips up and brings up the 7 months percy was missing and they have to cover it up saying his aunt, on his dads side, sent him away to a boarding school in greece where he wasn’t able to contact anyone here in america
“yeah we don’t really talk to her after..that..”
it doesn’t help that their friends can hear them hiss in greek to each other when they don’t want them to know what their saying
or when their stretching in a certain way that makes their shirt ride up and there are obvious scars hidden underneath
and it honestly all makes sense just going off the vibes of the two of them so no one really questions it because who would and anytime either of their parents appear shifted into their mortal counterparts everyone keeps their eyes downcast
My bday is telling me sum ...and it's beautiful 🩷✨️ ..like everything is relating to flowers and lakes and it just has me smiling like a chaotic woman😭😭🩷
No pressure for my luvs! I love you🩷🩷: @midnightcrw @honestlyhiswife @littlemochabunni @lovelykhaleesiii @lovelybluebirdie @aemondsbabe @rafeism @valeskafics @aethelwyneleigh27 @spacebarbarianweird @biscuitsngravie @simonrillleyyysss

⋆ ˚。⋆౨ৎ˚ Your Girlfriend's Hot When She Kicks Ass - I Know
content: leo valdez x daughter of poseidon! reader
warning: language and mentions of fighting but the author is like so terrible and can’t even describe a fight scene so yall should be fine
author's note: by pop song, i mean painfully y2k song, im picturing a fun uptempo beat yall. i can already see the fake edits in my head
as much as she liked to deny it, y/n was a damn good fighter. she’d been doing it so long, it’d quickly began second nature to the daughter of poseidon. not even percy could beat her, the only title she wore with pride. though, the only better swordsman she knew was…luke. she tried not to think about him too much though, like most of camp half-blood. but…the roman demigods were a different breed entirely. they were trained differently, more stiff and solid. it was something that always intrigued her. which is why, whenever jason stayed at camp, they’d have a sword fight. she’d slide their names into the board, registering their spot for the afternoon. whispers and bets would quickly flow through the camp whenever she did that. jason and her were pretty even at this point, jason having won three fights and y/n having won two. leo could tell she was determined to win today from the way she avoided him, something about his face throwing her off as she grabbed an apple before scampering away.
“best friend or girlfriend, who’s gonna win?” travis questioned, presenting a hairbrush to leo like it was a mic as he made his way towards the arena, along with most of the camp.
“no comment,” leo winked back, knowing he couldn’t choose sides. plus, this was just dramatic training for the two, neither of them gave a single shit who was better. they just liked to have fun and this was one of their common denominators.
“ugh, no fun. connor’s got fifty bucks on jason,” travis groaned as the two sat in their front row seats, leo shaking his head at him.
“With?”
“mr. d,” travis shrugged like it was obvious.
the previous match was still finishing up, between clarrisse and one of her siblings, which she was basically throwing around like a ragdoll. leo winced as the poor guy was slammed into the ground, the air visibly leaving his chest. clarisse then dragged him out and towards, surely, the infirmary. Which would be empty, as leo could see will standing near the edge of the area, cupping his mouth and shouting his support of y/n, like he always did. sloppily written on his shirt was ‘team y/n,’ clearly done last minute with a sharpie. leo was gonna have to ask him for one of his own later, as the match was about to begin.
some pop song played over the speakers, y/n and jason laughing as they walked out. y/n raised her hand towards the crowd, waving as she was met with both cheers and friendly boos. jason bumped his shoulder with y/n and said something to her that the crowds couldn’t hear. she laughed more before motion towards the crowd to settle down.
“look at the crowd we’ve brought, jason. you’d think we’re famous or something,” y/n jokes, earning a few laughs. leo brought his hand up to his mouth and whistled, y/n’s eyes turning to him with a glimmer that was only saved for him. she winks at him before turning to jason and adjusting her armor.
“let’s give them what they want, yeah?” jason prompted, a small smile on his face as he nodded towards the crowds. leo couldn’t help but notice that jason always seemed to take on a playful demeanor during these little fights.
“same rules as always, superman?” y/n replied, swinging her sword around as she and jason started to circle each other. the trash talk was about to start, which is what made the two so interesting.
“of course…fish head,” jason tauts, bending at his knees. the two paused, waiting for the bell to ring so they could start.
a few seconds passed before the two straightened up and looked over at the bell, seeing percy struggle with it.
“dude!” the two shouted at him, percy huffing at them.
“it’s harder than it looks!”
“you’re making this anticlimactic!” will shouted from the stands, gaining support easily.
then a dagger smacked into the bell, easily ringing it. all eyes turned to where annabeth was standing from the stands, her hips jutted out.
“i’ve got 15 drachmas on you, y/n!” she called, y/n rolling her eyes before quickly dropping and rolling on the ground before popping back up on one knee, just barely missing jason’s blade.
“you walk like a mountain, grace. sealth is not your expertise,” y/n called, spinning with a swing that slammed against jason’s sword, the two of them basically face to face before jason shoved her off.
“you swing like you’ve got flowers for arms,” jason bit out, the two of them circling the other while they waited for an opportunity to strike. y/n scoffed at him, faking a swing to one side before pulling it back and making a stabbing motion. her sword smashed into his chest plate and he surely would have been sprawled out on his back had he not caught himself with a gust of wind, leaving the boy upright and a few feet away.
“scared, yet?” questioned y/n, straightening up and turning her shoulder towards the roman.
“am i supposed to be?” he replied, oohs and ahhs filling the crowd.
“don’t worry, you will be,” y/n glowered at him before taking the first swing, easily being blocked by jason, which is what she wanted as she shoved her body weight against his, sending them both to the ground. leo jumped out of his seat to get a better view along with everyone else, the adrenaline filling the crowd and they weren’t even fighting.
“you know, you’re girlfriend’s hot when she kicks ass,” travis managed to get out as his eyes were trained on the pair rolling around in the dirt. leo smirked to himself, also keeping his eyes on the two demigods.
“i know.”
“get off me!” jason called like a child, y/n’s hands shoving into his side as they both scrambled around in the dirt. jason shot his hand out, blowing y/n’s weapon out of reach.
“that was low even for you!” y/n called, kicking out with her foot against his shin before shooting up to her feet.
jason reached out with his hand to grasp her ankle but he was then smacked upside the head with a plastic water bottle. y/n shot a smirk over her shoulder at jason, who then threw the water bottle away and chased after her. y/n dove for her sword, rolling out of it as jason swung downward towards her. y/n just barely managed to get her sword upwards, groaning as she pushed against him.
“how’s it going down there, l/n?” jason gasped out, pushing harder.
“it’s pretty relaxing, grace, you should try it out!” y/n called, slamming her foot against his ankle, which caused the boy to lose his shove against her sword, which she then twisted out of his hand. y/n kicked his sword away before slamming backwards against jason, sending him straight to the ground, the blond breathing heavily on the ground. y/n raised the sword to his chin, gasping in breaths. the two stayed like this for a bit before jason got up on his forearms and y/n blinked a few times, like she was coming out of a haze. the crowd was on edge in silence, waiting for the verdict.
“wait- wait, did i just win?” she asked in shock, all the previous venom lost. jason laughed, nodding his head. y/n then scrambled to pull him to his feet, dropping her blade off to the side.
“i can’t celebrate if you’re on the ground,” she told him and then the crowd erupted, both with groans and cheers. there was the exchanging of money and goods, leo proudly taking ten bucks from clarisse, who stomped away.
“dude, i thought you said no comment?! the hypocrisy?!” travis argued in shock and leo looked at the boy as he began to walk away.
“i always bet on blue,” he winked, making his way over to y/n and jason, who were happily talking about the fight they just had.
“i gotta admit, i was scared for a moment there without my sword,” y/n told jason, undoing the straps of her armor and allowing it to fall off.
“oh, come on! after i missed that first swing, i knew i was a goner,” jason replied, waving the girl off as he put his sword away.
“we get it, you’re both amazing!” leo cut in, both of their eyes turning to the boy. y/n pressed a kiss to his cheek, leo’s smile widening.
“i’d say i’m the real winner,” leo started, wrapping his arm around y/n as he gave jason their secret handshake.
“how so?” jason questioned.
“i’ve got both of you on my side, i’ll be surprised if i leave any battle with more than a scratch,” he jokes and they all laugh, y/n cuddling up into leo’s chest. and he couldn’t even find it in him to mind that she was sweaty and her arm cuffs were digging into his side.
“it’s officially a tie, jase, what are we gonna do now?” y/n asks, looking over at the roman boy, who pretended to be deep in thought.
“same time next month?” he replied with a smirk.
“you’re on, sparky!” y/n cheered, taking his hand into hers in a firm shake, both making mental promises that they didn’t need to.
“i’ll bring a stapler next time, put the real fear of gods into you,” y/n tauts with a wink, jason groaning as he follows the pair out of the arena.
“you try to eat a stapler one time,” he huffs and y/n and leo laugh at his tone.
“hey, y/n, lunch on me?” leo prompts, producing a ten from his pocket with a smirk. y/n squints at him suspiciously but nods, knowing how he got that money without having to ask. leo looks over the girl at jason, tilting his head.
“you wanna come, man? i’ll let you pick where,” leo offered but jason shook his head with a smile.
“no, i'm good. have at it, you two,” jason told them, nodding his head as he walked towards his cabin.
he shot a glance over his shoulder at the two, happily laughing and closer than close. his smile seemed unstoppable, as he couldn’t imagine the two without each other. he was glad they found each other and then he was glad he found them.
