so i recently came across the idea of eragon/murtagh as a ship. the thing is. to me its the perfect ship that would make me blush and kick my feet for a variety of reasons. however, theres one teeny tiny detail— theyre RELATED. and i absolutely dislike incest, obviously. theoretically, for the shake of the ship you could ignore them being brothers because a) its gay so theres no biological factor and b) they never grew up as brothers in the same household or even with the same parents at all and never considered themselves brothers until it was revealed to them so theres no established relationship in the way... but i still feel like a criminal when i think about shipping them help
