aborted weird route is so crazy cuz wym your childhood best friend breaks down in front of you, screams at you that you've finally turned interesting and admits that she enjoys you way more now. And the only difference to before is that your autonomy has been taken away and you've been forced by a foreign entity to commit horrible acts towards your childhood friend to the point where you disassociate entirely and present self-harming tendencies. and after failing to either reach the other side or ending your life you get back to the shore and have to watch said childhood friend get closer to your now best friend. and as always you can only watch, only from the side, never present, only observe, barely existing at all and have even the last thing that connected you to your previous peaceful life crumble away. the bittersweet teenage musings of the normal route become a gut-wrenching crescendo of hopelessness where everything afterwards feel meaningless, who are you even enduring all this for?

im just thinking about how noelle and kris sink deep, deep into the lake, enveloped by darkness. and only in darkness can you start seeing things again. falling into this natural darkness that lets no light in— what if they fell into an actual dark world? and with no fountain that can be sealed, since there wasnt one that created the dark world to begin with, there is no way to leave either... this might explain both dess knight or amalgamation noelle/kris knight imo. if dess actually drowned in the lake, she might have been stuck in a dark world with no exit and turned into the knight. same concept applies to kris and noelle. I dont Know im just throwing shit out here

obsessed with kris using things the player can't see to communicate with other characters. drawing on the window in the diner. 80% as much honey on toast as usual. silly faces and nodding/shaking their head. changing the tone of what we make them say to make it clear that they mean it differently. i love that it's shown time and time again that kris ISN'T apathetic about anything. kris wants friends. kris has boundaries and wants mom to know that what she did made them feel bad. kris wants the people in their life to be happy and kris wants affection. i love kris deltarune
