Ok, I keep seeing this going around so I guess as a longtime fan of the anime I'm doing it. Extended opinions below. (SPOILERS AHEAD FOR SERIES FINALIE)
Kirby: I like him, he's got a cool concept, but his very simple babyish personality makes it hard to "love" him, rather than "like" him. I will say though, nothing's gonna make me dislike him.
Meta Knight: MY HEART BEATS FOR YOU MI AMORRR ---- (this character is one of my emotional crutches in life and got me through a lot of bad times, I've loved him since I was little)
Fumu/Tiff: I think she's great, I love that she's interested in so much academic stuff. She's so smart for her age and is very brave. I'm sad she gets so much hate from some people just because she has a bit of a temper. If anything I can relate to her rule strictness due to my OCD, and her love of nature.
Bun/Tuff: I like him. He's sometimes a bit selfish, but he's kinda just that rowdy kid. But he's not so rowdy that he's not willing to sacrifice something for his friends. He's fun.
Dedede: I love anime Dedede, I think it's a very interesting take on his character. It's nice ot have someone who's just cartoonishly evil in a world of happiness and fluff. I like dub Dedede better in this case, as JPN Dedede tends to threaten to kill people a lot and is generally more seriously tyrannical, while dub Dedede is more like a greedy kid in a king's body. He's just so funny I can't help but love him though.
Escargon/Escargoon: So adorable and has a very interesting character dynamic with Dedede. He's also hilarious and absolutely a woobie. I'm a sucker for this kind of character. Full of angst lol
NME Sales Guy/Customer Service: I love him in the dub more. His voice is SO good and he really hits that "sly salesman" personality. It's just so perfect considering he's literally an evil salesman, or maybe just a guy working for an evil company.
Nightmare: I want to like Nightmare, but he has so much wasted potential. We only hear about him very indirectly through lore and never actually see him until literally the last episode. And why I get why they did that, they did it rather poorly. The final fight was just so bad. (I know it was rushed due to sad circumstances, but still)
Kawasaki: Cute, charming. A little greedy and devious sometimes, but I think it adds to his character. I also like how he's basically an ascended miniboss from the games.
Nagoya: Honeslty not sure why he's on this list, I don't think he's that special. He's basically another Shiitake/Oosaka except he only appeared in one episode. He wasn't a bad character, just kind of a repeat.
Waddle Dees: They're alright. I like how they're silent. They're cute, but I feel like the fandom puts them on a bit too high of a spotlight. They're the Minions of Kirby.
Knuckle Joe: He's awesome, I love every episode he appears in. He kicks ass and he has an interesting backstory. Bonus points for also being an ascended enemy from the games.
Sirica: She's really cool. Very warrior hearted and determined. But also just kind of a repeat of Knuckle Joe that only appeared in one episode (excluding the finalie).
Lololo and Lalala: I feel like I should dislike them actually, as I generally don't like things that are unneccesarily gendered, but disliking their concept is a different thing than disliking their character. As characters they're ok. They have an interesting backstory actually, but other than that are kinda plain.
Parm and Memu/Sir Ebrum and Lady Like: They're ok. For some reason I feel like we don't know much about them, despite them having a couple different episodes. Memu's a bit of a stereotype, while at least Parm has a little bit of complexity about being an emotional man at the head of the cabinet. I wish I knew more about what their actual jobs entail though, considering Dedede tends to take over everything.
Sword and Blade: I love them, they're so cool. Yeah they're also a little bit of just plain warriors, but to me they just create a lot of room for speculation, especially in their relationship with Meta Knight. I also adore seeing everyone's headcanons on what they look like without the armor.
Garlude: She's cool. Basically a repeat fo Joe's father though. Another strong warrior who bonded with Meta Knight and ended up dying during their time together. I wish we knew more about her that seperated her from Joe's dad.
Knuckle Joe's father: Cool character, cool story, cool kid. Again I wish we knew more about him.
Princess Rona and Commander Vee: Being someone who doesn't like gender dynamics, I didn't like this episode, and Vee and Rona make me uncomfortable. They do have an interesting story with Rona wanting more freedom, but the genderedness of it makes it feel so icky to me. I'm probably the only one who thinks this.
Tokkori: I don't hate Tokkori, but he is a jerk and very annoying. I can't help but feel bad for him in the pirate episode because we see him upset that he doesn't know his own origins. I feel like he doesn't know who he is, and is acting like a jerk to basically find out his own personality, if that makes sense. If he had some better direction earlier in his life he probably wouldn't be so sour.
