My focus this week is drawingĀ and discoveringĀ which story to start bringing to life.Ā I have so many stories in my head Iām not sure which one to start with soĀ Iāve worked mostly on character designs. Iām really enjoying the discovery of what my characters will look like in comics. They are very different from the characters I have imagined in my novels, (Iām almost liking the drawings better). This will hopefully help me narrow down which story to start scripting and which characters to focus on for illustration.
I just discovered Udemy, itās a source of tutorials. I promise this isnāt a promotion for them, I discovered them through an author named Neil Fontaine. I really like Neilās teaching style, he is funny and very relaxed in helping aspiring artists.
I have worked on human anatomy drawing to get more comfortable with more complicated poses. Iām hoping to also start incorporating more character interaction with other characters and object poses as I have discovered they are much harder to draw than expected.
Iāve been surprised at how quickly my progress has come in changing my focus from novel-writing to comic design. There has been nothing but support and resources as I make my way further into this world. Again Iām excited to share this journey with you as I discover more of myself through this artistic expression.
