He is behind the tree

The tree rooms always gave me chills, so I tried to replicate this feeling.

This is kinda a continuation from what I tried in my previous drawing. I decided to do the white outlines to give the tree an otherworldly effect, while giving a realistic look to Kris. And I finally used the smudger to give a smoother look to all colors. I honestly didn't really knew where I was going with this one, but it's my favorite so far ! Even peoples who knew nothing about Deltarune loved it !

Dance between a demon and an angel

I decided to try to do some inverted lineart for this one. Basically, would white lineart on black paper be the equivalent of black lineart on white paper ? Well, it actually gives more like a neon and otherworldly effect. Very pretty but not really what I had in mind.

Anyways, this is supposed to be an allegory of the weird route in chapter 2, on how the player -via Kris- is leading the dance. That's why I added a red glow on Noëlle coming from Kris, representing the soul shining on her. Also really like how the pose turned out !

Somewhere no one is supposed to go

Needless to say, I still think about this scene. It made me so uncomfortable in a good way.

I think it's the first time that I really envisioned the black paper as the inverse of the white one. Instead of coloring shadows, I add light. It what I like the most with this medium, and why I find it so fitting for the Deltarune themes.

But still need a bit of practice ! I'm not really happy with Noelle's face and the overall texture of the pencils. But I also wanted to show the progression in theses posts. So stay tuned, it gets better !

The lone prince of the dark

Here's Ralsei ! I really like him, even if I struggle a bit with his face (very convenient scarf). I'm getting better at making light and shadows with this paper, but still need adjustments. The healing effect was a last-minute idea, and then I added fire to equilibrate the composition.

Friend

Not sure what I was going for with this one, we don't actually have a full design of this character (?) yet.

Also don't use a friend image to do you scan tests, by opening two versions of the picture and zooming on the face and then leaving the room. That's a very dumb way to jumpscare yourself when you come back (absolutely not based on real events /i)

The Knight who brings the dark

Welcome to my new drawing serie ! I received a black paper notebook last Christmas, and it only occurred to me recently that it was the perfect support for Deltarune drawings !

So I kinda challenged myself to fill it only with subjects related to the game. I'll also try to make use of the paper color as much as possible beside it being a background. I'll use mainly watercolor pencils, without watering them, graphite pencil, black and white pens, and a smudger. Note that while it 100% traditional art, I do edit it digitally, mostly for color grading and to remove dust particles.

Also I'll add a little note about my approach with each realization, because it's my posts and I can ramble as much as I want.

Anyways, what a better start than the knight of the dark itself ? Note that the light gray parts kind of shine due to being made with graphite. It really adds to the thing, but I can't show it on a scan unfortunately...

✨Caged light❤️

A little (10 cm large) watercolor I did a while ago (before chapter 5 was announced) and I'm still very proud of ! And oh yeah, prepare to see a lot of Deltarune coming on my blog, that's my new obsession.

I honestly wasn't sure of the composition at first because the lineart itself is very asymmetrical. But it started looking good as soon as I added the shadows. Trust the process I guess

I used mostly watercolor pencils and thin black pen and white posca. I did a lot of layers, to slowly build the lighting. And, the most satisfying, I put tape all around to have a clean border !

I also spent some time editing the scan, to add some contrast, remove the dust that got stuck and clean some lines manually. It really changes the final result !

Woooh ! Look at that ! It's finally here !

Completing this Map was a journey, and I so glad to have made it alongside such talented and kind artists ! Everyone have a different artstyle yet everything looks sooo good together. There's no best feeling than watching your lil' creatures come to life !

It was also my first online collaborative project, and I'm honored to have done the intro ! I was really inactive online these last months because of irl stuff, but seeing this project reaching its end made me want to go back to tumblr. Thank you guys to be such an awesome and kind community !

hi all!! i am beyond excited to announce the premier of this project; the Someone To You Kirby OC MAP (multi-animator project) and share our trailer!!

this project is a full length music video set to Someone To You by BANNERS, featuring the collaborative artwork of 18 different animators from the kirby OC community!! a series of short animations about a wide collection of kirby OCs and their friends, this project has been in the works since mid-2025 and has been pulled together by the dedicated passion and enthusiasm of all its participants!!

please keep an eye out over the next few days as i release artist cards for some of our contributors, and finally for the premier of the music video itself on January 22, 7pm EST, on both tumblr and youtube!

hi folks!! i recently came onboard to help host a mostly completed, multi-animator project for Kirby OCs!!

i'm trying to push this project over the finish line for all the amazing artists who are already participating, and we're really close!! but we still need a few last minute slots filled to complete the animation!

the song we're using is someone to you by banners, and this video outlines the parts with numbers (please ignore that it says all parts are taken on youtube, this is currently inaccurate but it's not my video so i can't change it!).

there is no skill cap and this project is open to newcomers! most available sections are ten seconds or less, and our hopeful deadline is six weeks (November 16). there's no overarching story and you can animate any scene you can imagine, providing it's focused on kirby OCs!

Based on part 2 of @kokostardust's metalor fanfic Stuck with the Soggy Cat.

It's been a while since I've drawn some metalor!! :D I created it to celebrate #metalorweek2025 (even though it is not related to any prompts) and to celebrate Koko's fanfic, which made me fall in love with this ship in the first place!!

ok i did some tentative practice and remade the art for chapter one (before the poll was even finished i know i know but COME ON!!)

i actually… had a lotta fun with this? this made me feel a whole lot more confident about my art like “wow! i’m not total dogshit!”

so i might be keeping this up with varying degrees of speed depending on mood and time but yeah. here’s some idea of what’s to come!

i fixed the early installment weirdness with blade and gooey’s flashback designs. and i also made their proportions more accurate. apparently my sketch was like super loose and painterly but that kinda made it look weird in the end. changed the rim light to be orange and lowered the brightness of the stars (and added a few more to fill out the space). i think it helped draw the eye and be a bit more striking. and i changed the layer effect on blade’s sword to be less distracting and fit in more with how it’s supposed to change wildly depending on how you look at it

for this one i basically redid everything except the background gradient (and even for that i added a purple midtone.) what i sacrificed in terms of pure visibility i think i made up for in technique. sure, blade’s not nearly as visible but that’s a lot closer to my original idea anyway where he was supposed to be literally formed out of dedede’s shadow. speaking of which, i changed the king’s posture to be less apathetic and more distraught. and i went a lot harder on the painting style this time. i wanted to keep it loose and sketchy tho to match the emotion of the scene.

completely redrew gooey’s face, lower body, and blade’s sleeping form. also redrew the small bit of kirby’s hair you can see. added a smidge more detail to the bed (that you can’t really see behind all the shading) and upped the detail in the lighting on basically everything. darkened the night sky to make my eyes bleed a little less and to make gooey’s eyes pop a bit more

The painter and the star spirit

Here's @prisma-luna's OCs Jenevie and Polari ! I liked a lot the celestial alter ego idea, and their color palettes and designs where super pretty ! And complex ! (Polari, I love you buddy but I'm never drawing your hair again). I used mainly watercolors and thin pen for the line, with a bit of acrylics for the white highlights and stars.

The elaboration process went something like that :

Me : Ok brain, so we have an Map to finish, a drawing collab, and also school work...

Brain : Oh ! Look, cool space-themed Oc !

Me : No brain, no

Brain : Brain yes !

Me : ... Ok, but not to complex... Right ?

(And yes, obviously I'm doing this after art fight)
