This is one of the best items I ever bought because I use it so frequently! For anyone who loves clothes, we all know that taking care of them can sometimes be a pain. "Hand Wash Only", "Dry Clean Only", all these rules to take care of a garment can be endless. And sometime washing too much can ruin your clothing!

A couple years back my mom got me the Joy Mangano Steamer and I can't thank her enough for it! Fill with water, plug it in, and steam the wrinkles out of your clothes in a matter of minutes. I can say this drastically has reduced how many times I go out to the cleaners. So this little device is saving me time and money!

My clothes never looked better with such a simple solution. Fun Colors, and at such a great price, it really can't be beat!

raincoat, umbrella, rainboots or shuella?

It's been raining like crazy, so of course I'm out everyday in my raincoat and boots. The other day the weather man was extremely wrong on his prediction, and therefore I ruined one of my favorite pair of Sam Edelman flats! They were not expensive because I got them at a discounted warehouse. But after stepping in puddles I could not avoid, my shoes went from fab to drab.

We all know the classic Hunter Boots can be pricey, upwards $125! So, I was looking online for anything that would help keep my feet dry, not too expensive, and something I could easily throw in my purse or car for that rare emergency when it just so happens to downpour!

I came across this: Shuella. They say it's the "raincoat for your shoes". They look adorable and come in tons of colors! The "shoes" come in a tiny packaging that fits right into your purse, making it convenient for travel. You take them out of there pouch, slip them on over ANY shoe you are wearing (that's right even heels!), adjust the velcro straps around your ankle and voila!

the slouchy purse syndrome

I was always told if you take care of your things, they will last forever. I know it's true, but I was wondering does that really apply to just about everything? Then I came across an issue when I was doing a bit of Fall cleaning in my closet. All my purses didn't really look like they've been given enough TLC to last me into the next year!

So this idea I actually got from a friend of mine. I love buying purses (and really what girl doesn't), but sometimes they can be expensive so its really important to take care of them in every way you possibly can. Sometimes we get that slouchy purse affect, in which there are ripples and folds where they aren't exactly supposed to be, or we just want them to stand in their upright position. So how do we store our bags in a way that they will not lose their shape?

I was looking through my friends closet for a purse to borrow and inside every bag she had was a plastic Ziploc bag filled with none other than packing peanuts. I at first thought it was strange, but I realized that it really helped keep the shape of her bags. 

I decided to try this myself as soon as I got home. I pulled out all of my purses, some large plastic bags, some of those large styrofoam that I got from the last package that came in the mail. (If you don't have packing peanuts, than leftover tissue paper, newspaper, or anything else can work! Recycle items from around your home!) 

TRANTHAM HANDBAG from ALDO SHOES - I thought this was such a cute bag for Fall 2011. 

So I filled the bag, zipped it up, and placed one into each of my purses and viola! Now my bags will last longer for years to come!

I can't live without... command hooks

I just love these things and think that they are the best invention since I started attending college. Not only do they come in a variety of sizes, but if you don't like the original white look, they come in chrome and tons of other colors! 

I love this style I found at The Container Store . It just adds a sophisticated touch to any room. Perfect for dorms, apartments and those who love to rearrange the furniture layout, these non-damaging, strong hooks are definitely something I could not live without.

a girl can never have enough room for all those jimmy choo's

I am always looking for new ways to organize just about anything in the small room I call home. However, with an overflowing closet and an extensive shoe wardrobe, it seems like I am once again in search for a place to put all my cute wedges, boots and platform pumps.

I was looking around at pictures of celebrity closets, trying to find some inspiration when I came across the shoe heaven that Khloe Kardashian has the pleasure of calling her closet. I can only hope that one day I will have a closet like hers.

Who wouldn't want the their shoes to look as good as this?!? I came across an affordable solution at IKEA called the BILLY BOOKCASE. It comes in colors and at only $39.99 its not breaking the bank. I might get about 3, place them together along my wall for the same affect, only my shoes will now also be my art. 

If you dont have that many shoes, not to worry. You can use the extra space to store purses, hats and other accessories. Or you can look for  more traditional pieces like these (BELOW). I just love the glass doors which keeps everything away from dust and keeping those stilettos looking new.

  The best place to look for these types of pieces are thrift stores, yard sales and vintage furniture shops. The price wont break the bank, and with a little elbow grease you can have them looking as new or as vintage as you like.
