I’m still sane!!
Me at 9:30pm, realising I still have plenty of time to read and sleep:
Me at 3:00am, still reading:
The problem with getting distracted while writing...
Me, writing: “The cold air is–”
Me: [gets distracted]
Me: Oh, right. I was writing.
Me: [returns to document, adds] “Cold.”
Me, re-reading that sentence: “The cold air is cold.”
Me:
Me:
Me: [hits backspace several times with a long, suffering sigh]
They look like Julian and Emma
I don’t understand how people just read one genre, like bitch imma read about magic and dragons and then go over here and read about space and then mayhaps I will venture into the present timeline and read about someone in a city I recognize going through stuff I understand like The Social Media and then I will hop back over to the 18th century because I love me some corsets and relentless gossip from society bitches

Hey, everybody! First of all, we are almost 9K and I honestly can't believe that! THANK YOU SO MUCH for your support!❤ I'm blessed to have you all as my bookish friends! Soo I was thinking of starting a daily series of "question of the day". What do you think about it? Do you like this idea? Let me know with a like or a comment❤
*Disclaimer: This idea of course is not originally mine*
Today's question of the day is: "What's your favourite book quote?"
“Courage, dear heart.”
— C.S. Lewis (via amargedom)
hundred badass gentleman; percy jackson ↳ “ Don’t feel bad, I’m usually about to die. “
“Books are the perfect entertainment: no commercials, no batteries, hours of enjoyment for each dollar spent. What I wonder is why everybody doesn’t carry a book around for those inevitable dead spots in life.”
— Stephen King (b. 21 September 1947)
““My heart is so tired.””
— Markus Zusak, The Book Thief (via goodreadss)
I have problems, you guys
Books Are Magic
“I’d open the door in the morning and the slightly sweet smell of second hand books would greet me. For years I wondered just what that smell was. In the end I decided it was the smell of human thought embedded in paper.” 🍂 Museum of Modern Love by Heather Rose . MoML has to be my favorite read of 2018 so far. I am being incredibly slow finishing my review please bear with me for a day or two. I am so glad I took notes as I read it because it was so layered that I don’t think I’d remember things otherwise lol. . This brings me to a great topic/question that the lovely @sumaiyya.books recently posted about so credit to her. I thought it was so interesting. Have you ever thought you read a book but didn’t!? Or inadvertently lied about reading a book!? . I personally have never lied, with intent LOL, about reading a book. I’m not sure why someone would just say they read a book and didn’t. What’s the consequence for not reading it!? 😂 HOWEVER, I have forgotten that I read something ages ago because my memory is mush and it took something or someone to trigger my memory. Truth: I WILL forget character names and some details. With the books I choose to write reviews for I HAVE to take notes now depending on the narrative. FACT: I’ve skimmed through chapters before. Good pacing is important to me and I have read some snoozers like most of us. If I really felt what I was reading was getting repetitive and slow I just skimmed. Grad school taught me to do it well!! . What’s your reading truth!? Put it out there!! 🙌🏽 Hope you are having a nice day my loves!! https://www.instagram.com/p/BoKM941BGCM/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=d419b8ykzk81
