Hi havia una vegada una dragona de cua llarga i ales de papallona a la que li agradava tant llegir, que va plantar al seu jardí unes plantes molt curioses: tenien les fulles verdes, la seva flor era una rosa i donaven com a fruit llibres de tots colors i temàtiques diferents!! Així que, com us imaginareu, quan volia llegir una bona aventura, posava la tetera a escalfar i, amb l’ajuda de les seves veïnes les abelles, anava al jardí a recol·lectar tots els llibres que ja estaven al seu punt de maduració perfecte! Després depenent de si fa fred o calor agafa una manta o es posa a prendre el Sol en una hamaca. En una mà un nou llibre (una aventura per començar, una historia per descobrir, quins nervis!) i a l’altra mà la infusió, en una tassa fumejant o en un got ben gran amb uns quants “glaçonets” per acompanyar el temps. 🌹🐉 Quina llàstima que nosaltres no puguem plantar aquestes plantes però si que podem anar a les biblioteques o a les llibreries de barri o de poble, així que demà, si Sant Jordi voleu celebrar, ja sabeu on anar a triar i rebuscar, per un bon llibre regalar!

Today is International Book and Copyright day 2022, and the story is from the past year. I noticed Qanbar Zareh, 43, an Afghan government employee in Kabul while he was reading @michelleobama’s ‘Becoming’. “What do you like about this book?”, I asked. “Same story, different face,” he said boldly. “I relate it to my own life. I’ve faced isolation and discrimination throughout, so this book speaks to me. It’s very personal. She’s a remarkable woman and I’m the father of several daughters. Last night, I went to the cinema and watch Délicieux. Such a sublime historical film, happening just before French Revolution. Extra recommended.

Is my second day waking up at 5am. It is tough and its two degrees here, which is not helping, but I decided to stay in bed for one extra hour reading with my morning coffee just to make it easier.

My first book of the year is in Catalan. Its been a while since I don’t read in the language I usually speak and I realise I read slower than in other languages, but that’s why we are doing this. So hope to gain speed as pages goes by.
