Fic Preview Text:

When Joker opens his eyes, Batman looks large and omnipotent in the darkness of Joker’s cell, glaring down on him like a malevolent deity, a cruel God ready to thrust punishment upon all His sinners. Joker’s God. His Bat. His Bat would never try to pick apart his brain like this; he would hurt, punish, draw blood. Break his bones and bruise his skin and knock out his teeth.

Despite the almighty appearance, Joker knows that Batman is here for something Joker cannot give him. A reason. Collaboration. Something that Batman can use to understand. Just like the night before.

Understand. Batsy’s word of the week, it seems. The thing is, Joker doesn’t like an understanding and forgiving God. He doesn’t believe in repentance. Joker prefers his celestial deities as unwaveringly brutal and unforgiving. Harsh and tyrannical. Not… this.

Okay so I just...I can't. I gotta revisit these panels AGAIN I'm sorry lmao HE IS NOT TALKING TO SELINA in the panels in which he is talking to Selina. These are the things he CANNOT say to the Joker and is actually a continuation of THEIR conversation; he's literally telling the Joker he can't let anyone hurt him, but he can't say that. He can't tell the Joker that even though the Joker has infuriated him; and ofc he doesn't let him out there to die. This is literally a Joker conversation with Selina that he wants to have instead with Joker. "You're too nice to kill me." "You're so nice Bruce Wayne." And again, note the orange clothing through-line. Clown in his head, Cat in his bed. Edit: Also note the positioning of both characters. Joker is in very similar, mirrored visual positioning to Selina!!

Hello, folks! We ran into some difficulties, but Hold Me Too Tight is alive and kicking (much like an orderly in the Arkham trash incinerator).

What is Hold Me Too Tight? It's a 🦇Batman/Joker🃏 fan book resulting from a collaboration of 33 artists and writers, exploring how Gotham City's most notorious nemeses express their love through pain and violence. While there is no explicit sexual content, many works do include mature material along with the violence inherent to the ship.

This book has been a year in the making, and we are excited to share it with fellow batjokes fans! Stay tuned for a purchase interest check, followed by teasers of our talented contributors.

(Hold Me Too Tight remains a not-for-profit effort. All revenue will go toward production and shipping costs; any profits will be donated to an organization chosen by the zine contributors.)
