Some Hermitcraft Fanart :D. I'm trying to draw each with their own style; certain brushes for lineart and texture, maybe some pattern textures if I learn how. It's a lot of fun and I can get more practice using different brushes, textures, and styles :). These aren't the final hermit styles/brushes; I want to do some more experimenting and practicing.

Shout-out to my bestie for blindly choosing 5, @flyingfishflopsthings for choosing Rendog, and my sleepy cat for sitting on my laptop and delaying my drawing by an hour :').

Here's some of my thought process;

- Doc's design is both soft and pointy—fluffy and shiny; duality of nature and machine. I think I want to add some more plants to his texture (grass/moss/leaves/flowers). I've always imagined creepers as plant based monsters :{.

- Mumbo's design uses a lot of soft brushes. I really love the texture brush used on his clothes; I think it contrasts well with the rest of him. I do wish I had drawn him less front facing but too late lol. Was definitely the most fun to shade and texture :D.

- Ren's design uses a few dog like similarities, such as eye shape and nose. I wanted to give him longer hair but decided on a wolf cut (? I looked up photos and there's like a ton of different micro styles of it and it confuses me greatly so I went with what looked best on Ren :')). Also Ren without a goatee feels and looks so cursed.

- Etho's design is kind of reminiscent of an anime style, at least in the eyes. He's got soft and fluffy texture, and was probably my 2nd favorite to draw in regards to texture/shading :3. I'll probably change the symbol on his headband to something else.

- Joe's design has a more scratchy like texture contrasted with softer brushes, which I've kind of interpreted into a more "down to earth" style. He's just a chill guy :). And I originally drew him with short hair because I hadn't seen any photos/fanart of him until now.

- Cleo's design has a bunch of variety in texture and lineart. I really wanted to emphasize the contrast between her more alive and dead features; heavy texture on the patchwork, and an ominous glow to her eyes. Their hair was also quite fun and made me hungry because it looked like noodles :D.

WIP: I had my friend pick numbers to decide who I draw. If anyone has one more hermit suggestion I'll draw them :)

First time drawing Skizz and Tango 🔥🪽 :D! I really liked blending the fire and adding the lil decor to Skizz's suit (GIGGS + Tango reference).

Hands, wings, and fire are next on my "how the heck do I draw this" practice list. Probably will do a wing study with Grian, Skizz, Pearl, Doc, and Jimmy. And then a fire study just for Tango :).

GoodTimesWithScar Reference 1 :). Made a rough reference/guide for when I draw him again :D. I kind of wish I followed my sketch exactly instead of trying to make the digital one perfect :').

Rediscovering my love for colored pencils :) I love blending them so much.

I'm currently working on a style for each hermit. I really like Grian's and Mumbo's so far; Mumbo's wide eyes and Grian's feather like hair. With Scar I definitely made his hair too big and messed up his face the first time :') but I love his cheerful smile :D
