i will be keeping this blog up for archive purposes, but corsac and fennec have been lumped together onto my multi blog.
In light of the news, I am debating whether or not I will delete this blog and Blake's and dump them on my multi, keeping it on low activity. The RPC was scarce as it was, but the news of RoosterTeeth being shut down by Warner's Bros. has made the division in the fandom even louder and I'm tired of ignoring it.
If you don't like R.WBY, that's fine, but the show and its characters aren't bad, they aren't ruined, because they didn't rise to your fabricated standards of what the show SHOULD have been. Stop pretending you're a fan when in reality you're not any better than those that actively hate on it. It is OKAY to have opinions and criticisms, but what is NOT okay is you acting like the crew ruined YOUR show when it wasn't YOURS to begin with.
Despite its problems, I love R.WBY. I'm devastated that we might not get anymore content, but I'm even more upset at a HUMANITY level because people are losing their jobs. Warner Bros. is trying to sell the IPs of their shows, like R.WBY and R.ed vs Blue, so I'm hoping there's some light at the end of the tunnel for the writers, animators, voice actors, all of the content creators who deserved better than what RoosterTeeth and Warner Bros. has done to them.
This was meant to be just me saying I'm probably going to shove all of my muses onto one blog, and it turned into this. I'm not really sorry, though, because I am so tired.
god it will never not be funny how absolutely useless the atlesian knights are

"What in the hells does that even mean?"

the rpc is kinda scarce right now, but i finished v7 this morning and would like to try to get the ball rolling, so like this post and i'll come into your inbox for plotting.
what corsac says: i was on my way to atlas, anyway, to reach out to the atlesian brotherhood. your father asked me to keep an eye on you since we were heading in the same direction.
what corsac means: i saw adam board the train and i have ever intention of burning him alive and feeding his charred corpse to the grimm

thinking about corsac having only learned about the law just to spite his cop ex boyfriend
Both Corsac and Fennec are fairly good cooks. They are self-taught, having to teach themselves the basics on the road and then picking up new techniques (and books) once they were found by the White Fang and easing into society.
They both can cook, but only one of them can bake. Corsac lacks the patience for baking, and even if he didn't, in general, he doesn't care for pastry. Fennec, on the other hand, loves pastry and possesses the patience required for the intricate techniques of baking.
However, Corsac is capable of baking. If Fennec is ill or feeling low, Corsac will go out of his way to bake one of Fennec's favorites pastries.
PROMPTS FOR THE FORCED PROXIMITY TROPE * assorted dialogue for the moments and circumstances that force two characters to spend time together, adjust as necessary
who said i agreed to any of this?
i said i would help you. i didn't say i would be nice to you while i'm helping you.
you scratch my back and i'll scratch yours.
oh no. don't tell me it's locked.
i was hired to protect you. that's my job.
i'm actually starting to tolerate you, believe it or not.
i don't want to be stuck here with you.
i'll work with anyone but you.
i'm not letting you sleep on the floor.
they're forcing me to work with you and i don't like it.
how long do you think we'll be stuck here?
is that the only tent we have?
i think we're snowed in here. we'd better find a way to stay warm.
it's going to take a few days for them to reach us.
you sleep in that room, and i'll take this one.
you can't get rid of me that easily.
i'm just going to come right out and say it - i hate being here just as much as you do, but we have to make this work.
don't get any ideas.
i'm going to see if they'll switch my room.
until you came along, i had this under control.
if we're going to survive this, we'd better work together.
why did they sit me next to you?
i'd like to be as far away from you as possible.
out of all the people in the world, i had to get stuck with you.
guess you're just gonna have to get over it.
i thought you were worse than this.
i'm not going anywhere, and neither are you.
you're not exactly my favorite person to be around.
well, get used to it. i'm not leaving.
i told them i don't need a bodyguard.
i never wanted to spend this much time with you.
all this time spent together has really opened my eyes.
you're not as bad as i thought you were.
we might as well try to get along.
i guess i should learn a little bit about you.
i think that means we're the only ones left.
there's no way i'm sharing a room with you.
you again? i've seen enough of you already.
i thought [name] was coming. why are you here?
they're counting on us to save them.
since we'll be here for a while... might as well make the best out of it.
i think we can set aside our differences for two minutes and work this out.
honestly, i think i was wrong about you at first.
there's absolutely no way i'm working with you.
fine, but you're sleeping on the floor. i'll take the bed.
as your bodyguard, i'm supposed to stay with you at all times.
i think we're snowed in for a while.
you could always sleep on this side of the bed.
we have to at least pretend we like each other.
the whole point in having a bodyguard is for me to keep you safe.
i don't like asking for your help, but here i am, asking.
you and i are the only ones who can deal with this.
you don't have a say in the matter.
looks like we're stuck here.
just sleep in the bed with me. i'll even make a pillow wall between us.
i'm not sharing a tent with you.
i need you to stay out of my way.
could you at least "guard" me from over there? why do you have to stand so close?
i was plotting in my head and now i can't stop thinking about corsac carrying ruby around like a sack of potatoes
Corsac: My apologies for being late. I was doing something. Saber, bursting through the door: HE PUSHED ME DOWN THE FUCKING STAIRS
"I suppose I should be furious, but at this point I believe I've just gone completely numb."
Funny. Blake remembered her childhood as a slow and crushing journey toward understanding that her father's way meant only the most inching steps forward—a new legal protection there, a discriminatory rule struck down there—and the fierce momentum Sienna Khan brought to the organization had come as a galvanizing relief, and although five years of Adam's mounting bloodlust had soured her on the White Fang…
Well, hadn't she run away to enroll at a school meant to train the best warriors in the world?
The thought distracted her enough that Fennec's request caught her off guard. Blake blinked at him rather owlishly, surprised, and then stammered, "Oh!—yes. Of- of course."
It danced precariously between her fingers as she whipped it out from under her arm, but she managed to keep hold of it and beamed up at him when she snapped the tablet open.
"You'd… be the first," she said weakly, in case that somehow wasn't obvious from the pitiful absence of names. Maybe one would lead to more; a girl could dream. Rallying, she added, "We're hoping to gather enough support that there won't be a need for violence to stop what Adam's trying to do. Dad has some contacts in Mistral who can coordinate with the kingdom's police to secure the campus; if we show up in large numbers with the authorities behind us, we should be able to force Adam's followers to stand down without a fight."
Blake could guess what he'd think of that plan, but she hoped he would appreciate the effort. Or the stubborn optimism, maybe.
"The column on the left is for volunteers who want to come with us to Haven; on the right, for anyone with combat experience willing to help train basic self-defense." She hesitated, and added, "Before you sign, you should know that Adam's people have been watching me and Sun. They haven't tried to stop us yet, but they've made their presence known. I can't… promise that they won't come after you if you put your name down. You should be on your guard."
Probably he didn't need the warning, but it wouldn't feel right not to give it.
It was impressive to hear how much thought and effort Blake had put into her petition, even plotting a decent counter attack. The concern being to keep casualties to a minimum--that being none--and to apprehend Adam and the other rogue White Fang members without a fight. Not that Fennec believed that to be possible, but he couldn't fault her for wishful thinking.
She was so much like her father.
Looking over the petition, Fennec briefly thought about assisting her with the self-defense training. If you couldn't find in a world like theirs, you couldn't survive. He and his brother had been taught that you basically didn't deserve to live if you couldn't protect yourself. With that said, Fennec had never been good with... people. Socializing. He wouldn't know how to teach even if he wanted to, and believed that his absolute hatred of people touching him would make it more of a struggle than anything else.
Besides, Blake raised a good point. One that certainly didn't need to be said aloud; it was all he and Corsac had thought about in the past week. Adam either didn't understand it, had never heard it, or didn't like being told "no", and Fennec and his brother had been telling him that a lot as of late. They had no interest in his genocide, but they also had direct knowledge of what had happened to Tukson in Vale--even if they weren't able to prove it.
It was only a matter of time before they met the same fate, which was why they needed to leave.
"Adam and his band of traitors don't frighten me, Miss Belladonna," Fennec assured her with a small, wry smile. He typed his name on the left of the petition before returning her scroll. If anything, perhaps seeing a name--a name that belonged to somebody who might not be trusted but still associated with the council--would encourage others to do the same. "My brother and I might have left the front lines a long time ago, but I can assure you that we can take care of ourselves. However, I... do appreciate your concern."
A very useful guide!
