also i think that samira teaches whitaker something insanely important that robby never would be able to teach, which is that his idea of what a drug-seeking patient "looks like" is completely inaccurate and rooted in racism. the show doesn't outright say it, but whitaker's suspicion of joyce requesting pain meds was rooted in anti-black bias!!! samira is (as far as we're told) the ONLY doctor in the er who is specifically researching this niche of medical racism and prioritizing the care of the people who are most affected by it. but the showrunners were like nah, we'll write off our only doctor who talks about being anti-racist and initiates conversations about racial bias.... which could mean nothing

i dont really know what to make of gracerocky/grockdrian. i havent finished the book (chapter 24) nor watched the movie just yet, and so far they seem to me like, as my pal @insanityislife101 described it, platonic soulmates. while i dont think they could ever feel for each other romantically, the way my boyfriend @one-annon describes it is "rocky and adrian are the actual couple and they mate and have pebbles and they both decide grace is the 3rd parent of their pebbles." i wouldnt say theyre queerplatonic but they arent romantic and they arent platonic either.

bloodymary might get its own textpost soon. just know i HEAVILY hc grace and simon as demiromantic/demisexual.

This took me quite a long time and I'm not even finished: I want to draw the current status of the shards, including the double shards Harmony and Retribution. But I am really pleased with how this came out.

I tried to go with canon information when available, but there is almost no information on some of the shards so I just went with my own vibes. So then, I decided to go with a "stained glass" look, as if the creator of this piece is an in-universe artist, who knows of the shards but hasn't seen them in person. Hopefully this will age nicer if it turns out my designs are far from canon.
