I haven't felt inpsired to create anything or have the energy to try to be creative. I am hoping to break that streak this year. Who would be interested in a...
Creative Hiatus
I don't know what to say or why I’ve been away. After my little speaking gig at the national conference this summer, I all but stopped existing online. Now, don’t get me wrong I have kept up with my “personal” internet usage but my blog has hit a creative road block so to speak. I don't know where to take things. I’ve been trying to figure out my blog’s website (still not functioning and going on my 2nd year of owning the domain). I haven’t thought of any “good” or “interesting” video series to keep me interested. I simply just don't know.
I don’t know why I am relying upon others to make this blog great. It has been such an incredibly helpful tool on my journey through self discovery. Waiting for others ideas on what to discuss or capture on video is quite silly as I’m up writing in the middle of the night. Why do I need others input? I should be able to create, for creativity sake. Half the appeal of this format is to interact with others. I could have just been journaling or creating offline over the past 6 years but I decided connection was important.
I’ve still logged into this site (Tumblr) to view my newsfeed but I haven’t been inspired to write, record, or share. I guess it has something to to with my career, health (physical/mental) and general unknowing of what I “should be” doing. I’m hoping to be rid of this funk and ready to share whatever comes to mind. No matter how interesting it may seem to others.
I’m going to share work woes, employment issues, physical health and anything else that comes of interest in the moment. I enjoy using Tumblr as a creative outlet and until I figure out my website I need to be sharing and connecting. If you’ve followed my facebook page or youtube page, I hope you have felt some connection to my journey.
If my videos don’t get a certain number of views or comments - I won’t let it get to me. I need to remember my creative outlets in such an emotionally demanding career. At this very moment I can think of a few topics - wound healing (yes, we are still healing), leg practitioner issues (of course), health - exercising & healthy eating.......
Creativity is key for a healthy mind. I’ve had a long weekend away from work and have been able to reset - enough to switch my focus on what is important. Or at the very least, guide me towards what is important. Lets get back into the swing of things, shall we?
Here’s a video with footage of creating my new right leg prosthesis corset/lacer.
Forgot to post this here the other day. Enjoy!
I will never change myself to be easier for someone to deal with.

Finally got around to filming a video with my new prostheses. Please leave questions and comments below.
The long awaited video featuring my new prostheses.
Is It Offensive To Post Images of Wounds?
I have a video in the works (just need to sit down to film) and realized I should include why something will be getting fixed. I don’t recall ever videoing a wound on my residual limb. Is this off-putting or would it help give a better understanding of what’s been going on in my life? I realize this is my blog but not sure if its offensive to include such footage. I will of course include a disclaimer on the video. Thoughts/comments appreciated.
Thank you all for your continued support with this journey called life.
