The Pains of Being Pure at Heart

9.27.17 at Teragram Ballroom and 9.29.17 at Pop Obscure Records

Last time I saw Pains before this show was in 2011. I actually went to 3 shows that day: Crushed on You at Que Sera in Long Beach, then down the street to see Paul Baribeau in someone’s backyard, and then down to Detroit Bar (RIP) in Costa Mesa to see Pains with Twin Sister.

They fell off my radar as a band shortly after that but I saw they were touring last year and tried to make it to every show they played in my general area, but only got to two. They were kind enough to let me take their portrait afterward.
