Parker couldn’t help but wonder if the older woman would have preferred that he had been a woman if she was, as she put it, lookin’ ta fuck. He wasn’t going to jump to any clonlusions though. Parker nodded and smiled. “I’ll make sure to do what I am here for. I’m sure I’ll have free time around that though.” It’s not like he knew anyone in the area.
“Fine, fine. Other’n that, I ain’t got much ta tell ya. Eat what ya want, work when ya want. S’long as things get done...” She shrugged and stopped just outside of a bedroom door, opening it so he could see inside. It was plain, but had a decent view of the fields behind the small house.
“This here’s the guest room. I cleaned ‘er out fer ya, but if you don’t need a place, don’t feel like ya gotta take it.” She walked around him and headed back to the living room, but stopped halfway down the hall. “Oh. Hearse.” she muttered, looking back at him. “I got a black’n’white Clydesdale who’s jus’ as ornery as he is big, an’ if he sees a chance ta kick tha face from yer head, he’ll do it. Just stay clear o’ him.”

Parker shrugged at the question of his name. “I’ve met both male and female Parkers, I think it’s a none gendered name.” he said with a shrug. “Like Jordan, or Lindsay.” Sure, there were more guys out there with the name Jordan and more woman that were named Lindsay, but he was pretty sure that he made his point. “I hope that doesn’t disappoint you,” he said, knowing that some people preferred to hire specific genders.
He followed her inside and looked around the small, but quant living quarters. Parker loved places like this, he had to smile as he looked around. “I could take a look at that for you if you want. I apprenticed with a plumber in Seattle for a couple months.”
Piper ran her eyes over him slowly, trying to discern whether or not she cared what gender he was. For the time being... no. “Naw, only reason gender matters is if yer looking ta fuck. I ain’t lookin’ fer that at the moment, so yer fine. S’long as you can work.”
She started walking through the house, explaining to him how things worked here and when he offered to help with the septic tank, she turned grinning at him. “Sugar, you wanna get in there and fix the literal shitstorm brewin’, you go right ahead. I sure as hell ain’t got time fer it. Just be sure it ain’t takin’ you away from yer other duties.”
Emily scoffed openly at all the talk of taking a dragon dick. "Clearly they've never seen how big dragons get." And then, realizing how that could be taken, she laughed, blushing. "I mean... body-wise. Not... you know."
‘‘No? I have no idea what you meant by that?’’
Emily gave him an amused, knowing smirk and folded her arms. “I was talking about your dragon dingle.” she told him, gesturing vaguely at him. “Your crotch cannon. Your Action Jackson. Your weeeeeee willy winky.” She laughed, unable to help herself.

The journey ‘home’ had extended longer than he originally intended. Rhaegal had once again found himself in another city, in the company of strangers. Stopping at some shabby place, making it a temporary home for the time being, a place for breather. He wasn’t going to stay there but for now it would do. Wandering rather aimlessly around the streets, Rhaegal got to know city’s routine quite quick. There was also a strange feeling he was experiencing, something that he had failed to explain but it was just there. Each time he would simply shrug the thought away and on he went. It was then when he spotted a female silhouette along one of the unfamiliar streets. ‘’Are you alright there?’’ asked Rhaegal approaching her slowly. His pace carefully measured and light at the same time as he didn’t wish to cause distress to the other. Stopping near her but at a safe distance, Rhaegal could sense something very strange about her but familiar at the same time. This truly baffled Rhaegal.
Emily turned at the sound of the footsteps behind her. She wasn’t a skittish woman by any means, but she was very alert. Her skin might hide what she truly was, but she knew what would happen if she was ever found out. Another crusade, and these ‘knights’ would have an arsenal more capable of taking her kind down. Or worse. She knew some would sooner study her and all that that meant. She wasn’t willing for either to happen.
He asked if she was alright and Emily gave him a broad smile. “I’m fine, thanks. Just out to get some air.” Any other man, and she would have walked off at that point. But there was something familiar about this one. As if she’d met him ages ago and had forgotten his face. It was impossible, of course... but she couldn’t shake the feeling of some tenuous bond between them.
“...I’m sorry.” she said finally, “Do I know you? You seem... I don’t know.”
