The thing abt the endlessly lame and unimaginative Obtains is that several people are probably getting paid quite a bit of money to sit in meetings and decide for us what they think we like when on the ground there’s so much art and collaborative opportunity to pick from. The fandom is overflowing with concept and imagination but yet it’s the same fuckass design motifs, bland colors, and now there’s hot topic lipgloss. Like okay I guess. Knock yourself out I suppose.

And then they turn around to try to get us to pay the kinds of prices other businesses ask for clothing with originality & believable quality & ethics promises. For the most ‚letterhead on pantone-branding colour via canva‘ ass merch. (Seriously. Who tf thought ‚ah yes. Make the exact same design but this time in two of the other 6 colours from the band vision board‘ and still gets to be in charge of every merch drop. With every single sub i have the first thing we ever do is establish the safe word (stoplight system), and the non-verbal safe word in case they can't talk for any reason. If I can't tell where the sub is at, I will ask them point blank what is their color, and if they can't give a response, we stop. The goal is to make the other person feel good, including pain, and the most important part us knowing your subs limits and LISTENING to them. I will *never* hurt a sub in a way that they have not explicitly expresssed interest in.

Sometimes when I feel miserable I want to lay in bed and do nothing and be sad. But sometimes I tell myself “hey little homie, what if you were just as dramatic and sad as possible while doing a horrible little task?”

So I sit there and fold laundry looking mournful and distressed for like an hour and then at the end I’m like well I’m still upset but at least my laundry is folded.
