Flash Fiction Friday 2026 #10 (Riddick)  

Word: Sensitive 

Pairings: dom!Riddick x brat!Reader 

Warnings: None, really. Riddick is kind of a dom/brat tamer in this (but he is in the films lol). Mentions of brat punishment. Teasing/taunting. Restraints. Idk when this takes place canon-wise, but it’s at least post-Pitch Black! No betas. (Yes, this is all because he says “good girl” in the first film asdfghjkl;) 

Summary: Your early morning with Riddick descends from cute into chaotic when you decide to act like a brat. 

Word Count: 1121

The blackout curtains were tied closed over the window, not letting a single ray of light come into the room. It was early morning, you could just tell, but it was still pitch black in the bedroom of the small apartment. 

You used to love waking up in the warmth of the sun, the rays shining like golden shards over the horizon, but ever since you met Riddick, you understood that what you took for granted was something he could never fully experience. At least, not comfortably. His eyes were far too sensitive to the light, and if he couldn't be shrouded in the shadows then he was wearing his goggles. It didn't seem fair that he'd have to wear goggles in the apartment you shared, so you sacrificed your early-morning sunlight so he could lie in bed without fear of being blinded. 

Riddick stirred beside you, his heavy arm draped over your side. He pulled you close, your back to his chest, and pressed his nose into the curve of your neck. You giggled involuntarily as he breathed deeply, nuzzling against your warm skin. 

“You smell like sun,” he said softly, his voice deep enough to nearly throw your heartbeat off rhythm.  “Were you sitting outside?” 

“No,” you said, melting into his body. “Maybe I'll do that later.” 

He held you firm against his body and moved his face to the back of your head, pressing his nose into your tangle of hair. You felt his chest rise and fall against your back, heard him sniffing your hair. It was a habit he'd picked up after losing his regular eyesight. Living for so long in the dark, he'd learned to be dependent on his other senses. It was amazing how much information could be gleaned in the dark from a single scent or a distant sound. Even though Riddick hadn't been in a slam for a while now, and you hoped he would never return, he'd never outgrown his habit of using his sense of smell to explore you. 

His strong fingers tied themselves into the fabric of your shirt and he kissed your hair, then your shoulder. He nudged your hair out of the way and kissed your neck, sending you into another involuntary spurt of giggles. Your neck was nearly as sensitive as Riddick's eyes, and he happily took advantage of that fact often. 

You squirmed in his arms, which made him hold you tighter, pressing his mouth against your neck in a self-satisfied smirk. 

“Don't even try,” he said, his lips dragging over your skin. “You know you can't break free unless I want you to.” 

You tried, anyway. Your goal wasn't to get away from Riddick, though. It was (and he did exactly as you hoped he would) to get him to pin you down against the mattress. Sometimes he'd pin you on your back so you could see his eyes, glowing in the dark of your room. But sometimes, like now, he rolled you over and pinned you on your stomach, resting his heavy body against yours, keeping you in place. 

Your cheek was pressed against the pillow, your head turned toward the window with the blackout curtains. With Riddick's warm body pressed against yours, you couldn't help but grin. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Riddick's mouth twist up in an amused smile. He chuckled and pressed you deeper into the mattress, drawing his mouth close to your ear. 

“I should know by now,” he growled, and you could feel the deep rumble of his voice move through your body, “that you like to be a brat.” 

“Oh, come on, Riddick,” you said, nearly breathless with his weight crushing you, “I wouldn't act like a brat if you didn't like it so much.” 

“That may be so, but you know I still have to punish you.” 

“Oh, yeah? What are you gonna do, Riddick?” You could feel his heartbeat through your spine. 

Riddick shifted, dragging his body across yours. He reached for something behind you, where you weren't looking. Then his hands were on yours, your wrists. A sturdy, but soft, rope looped around your wrists. He pulled your arms up and tied your hands to the wire-frame headboard, an ancient but indestructible piece of furniture you’d purchased years ago. 

His strong hands coasted down the lengths of your arms and down your sides, stopping at your hips. Your breath hitched in your throat, head still turned to the blackout curtains. 

“Are you ready for your punishment?” Riddick almost always asked before he did anything. Almost. 

“Yes,” you breathed. Then quickly added, “What are you going to do?” 

He gripped your hips as he leaned forward, brushing his full lips against your cheek. “I'm going to go sit outside in the sunlight and you're going to stay here.” 

“Wait, what? You’re not serious.” 

Riddick rolled off of you (not before giving your hips a good smack) and crossed to the dresser. He pulled on his goggles and turned to you, a grin on his face. 

“That's not funny, Riddick.” 

“I'm not joking. You're gonna stay here and I'm gonna sit outside. It's been a while since I took the time to enjoy the sunshine.” 

You pulled against the restraints, irritation beginning to cut through desire. “Untie me, Riddick! You're not leaving me here while you sit outside!” 

He clicked his tongue at you. “You can yell all day long, but I don't take orders from brats. If you're a good girl, maybe I'll untie you when I get back inside.”

“I'm serious–” 

“So am I.” Riddick disappeared from your field of vision, and you heard the door to your apartment open and close. 

You tugged at the ropes but they didn't budge. Riddick was just as good at restraining you as he was escaping restraints. You'd be tied up for as long as he wanted you to be, and that would be much longer if you kept up the brat routine. But how could you not when he was enjoying the sunshine and you weren’t? 

“Riddick! When you get back in here, I’m going to be the brattiest brat you've ever seen!” You turned your head into the pillow and screamed like an angry child. But even still, your mind was at work, figuring out your next steps. 

Riddick’s eyes weren't the only extra-sensitive part of his body, and you knew exactly which buttons to push (and which areas to bite and scratch and kiss) in order to turn him into mush – or, at least, as mushy as someone like Riddick could be. You’d get your revenge on the man when he returned, even if it meant a month of punishments.
