🥩🧄 Pan-Seared Steak with Garlic Butter – Restaurant Quality at Home! 🧄🥩
Juicy, perfectly seared steak with a golden crust, finished with a rich garlic herb butter that melts over the top… it’s pure steakhouse magic, made in your kitchen in under 20 minutes. You don't need a grill — just one hot pan and some bold flavor!
👩🍳 Ingredients (Serves 2):
2 ribeye or New York strip steaks (about 1-inch thick, room temperature)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (high smoke point)
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 garlic cloves, smashed
2 sprigs fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)
Optional sides: mashed potatoes, asparagus, or roasted veggies
🔥 Instructions:
Prep the Steak: Pat steaks dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides. Let them rest at room temp for 20–30 minutes for even cooking.
Sear It Right: Heat a heavy skillet (cast iron preferred) over high heat until smoking hot. Add oil and immediately place steaks in the pan. Sear without moving for 2–3 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust for thickness and doneness).
Butter Baste: Reduce heat to medium-low. Add butter, garlic, and herbs to the pan. Tilt the pan and spoon the melted garlic butter over the steak repeatedly for 1–2 minutes.
Rest & Serve: Transfer steaks to a cutting board and let them rest for 5 minutes. Slice against the grain, drizzle with garlic butter from the pan, and garnish with herbs.
🍽️ Perfect for date nights, celebrations, or just treating yourself like royalty. Serve it with a glass of red wine, and you're in steakhouse heaven — no reservations required!
