Before I start let me explain the name. I had been up for roughly 3 days when I made this the first time. It was amazing, and I had my roommate/best friend try it too. Looking at it, he goes “Stacy are you high?” to which I insist he eats it. It became kind of a joke to call them Stoner Sandwiches. Anyways, here we go:
- 1 or 2 boxes of the cheapest Mac & Cheese you have. 2 boxes fed 1 sandwich each to 5 adults with enough left over for a couple more sandwiches, so it’s up to you if you want leftovers. It doesn’t need to be fancy or expensive boxes, but if you want to, go for it.
-Honey Roasted Sliced Turkey. It doesn’t have to be honey, though. I just like the extra sweetness
-Optional: to add a kick, a pinch of Cayenne (or any cajun or creole seasoning if you have access to it) is amazing
1. Cook the Mac and Cheese according to the package! I used Kraft Mac & Cheese.
Advice: When you get to the step about mixing in the cheese powder it makes it a LOT creamier if you first completely mix in your butter AND THEN add your milk and cheese packet.
Set your mac & cheese aside to let it cool a little.
2. Toast your bread! (or, you know, be efficient and toast this while cooking your noodles but I am not efficient)
Look at that. Good bread. 10/10. Best if used by April 13th. We’re going to just lightly toast it, but you can set your toaster to whatever setting you like best!
3. We’re adding stuff to the bread!
3a. Use a knife and add a thin layer of Ceasar dressing to one of the slices
3b. Lay a couple slices of turkey on top. I used 4 thin slices, but use as many as you like!
3c. Squeeze on some mustard. I love mustard, so the pic I’ll show has a lot.
3d. Now we’re going to add the Mac & Cheese to the other slice of toast. Pile on as much as you like! (Here is where you’d add that pinch of extra spice! Just right on top of the noodles, friend.)
This here is one delicious Stoner Sandwich! Carefully slap the turkey’d slice on top and maybe cut it in half. However you like to eat sandwiches.
