Does anyone else find it weird that Dean didn't want revenge on Jake like Sam did for killing his brother? Maybe he was too destroyed by Sam's death to care at first but once he was back I'm surprised he wasn't as pissed as Sam

Sam using someone else's blood to cure Demon Dean was a smart move because if he had used his own, Dean would have been anything but normal about it. Dean's obsessive and possessive side would have flared up like crazy the moment the reality of him having Sam's blood pumping in his veins would have hit him. He would have gone full weirdo about it.
Sam giving him his blood would be the best gift he gave Dean with the amulet. The biggest and most beautiful declaration of love Sam could have ever made to him. This way, he has a part of Sam constantly with him. Sam's blood is pumping through his veins and organs. It's keeping him alive. He would be so drunk in love over the gesture. Sam may have drank Ruby's blood but he never gave her his. Only for Dean do not mention Crowley to him he will snap and kill you.
He would be, standing naked in front of a mirror to search for every vein he can see through his skin and trace them lovingly, level of weird. Kissing the veins of his wrists and tracing them with his tongue. Thinking about how when he jerks off or is fucking someone that it's Sam's blood making him hard.
Dean would freak out if he got hurt and started bleeding during a hunt. He would scare the shit out of Sam because he's sounding like he's dying when it's only a gash. He would panic because Sam is leaving his veins and he doesn't want to waste Sam's gift/love. He doesn't want to go back to living without Sam's blood inside him. He would cup his hand to collect the blood he was losing and try to shove it back inside the wound with his fingers. Sam would have to restrain him because he's digging at his wound. It would take Sam to tell him he'll give him more blood for Dean to settle down.
This kind of obsessive and possessive side of Dean is what I live for

The last gif is killing me slowly. Sam almost dies cuz of asphyxiation and his big brother Dean rushes to his rescue, doesn't even wait a second to try and save his little baby adult brother. And the moment it's over and Sam is all exhausted and panting and light headed he rests his head on Dean's shoulders like a child seeking comfort in a mother's arms. FUCK. And Dean not only gently places his palm on Sam's cheek as an assurance "you're safe now, it'll be okay" but also RESTS HIS OWN FUCKING HEAD ON SAM'S like "it's me, I'm here now, I'll make it okay for you baby brother" this interaction is so fucking tender to me!

i think the sexiest dean winchester's ever been is when he gets into the car and drives it fast and careless as he can to the crossroads gripping the wheel with lifeless manic expression on his face. He gets out the box with thoroughly collected belongings (god what if he forgot something??? put a bullet through his head) required for the summoning. he digs the soil with his hands with all his strength so frantically he looks like he'll collapse any minute but he's actually so determined. like if there ever was something he's known in his life for sure it's this, no moment's hesitation . he's so anxious about the deal and has to keep himself in place because sammy's life hangs in such fragile balance. and yet he's on the brink of turning into a force of nature because he just wants sam so bad like i think if sam was buried he'd tear into the earth with his teeth to get to him . he's so so small and so beautiful and sick and only one braincell (the one and only and most important one) functioning and he just stares at the demon's lips the entire time ready for the jump Like if there is a one more second's stalling he is ready to disintegrate

I talk all the time how this was The Scene™️ for me. This was precisely when I realized that I'd fallen head over heels in love with Dean Winchester. And like, yeah I know... Jinkies, this was all the way at the end of the season? How did it take you so long?
Well, I feel it is vitally important to point out, dear followers, that once I actually gave in and watched through the Pilot, I then proceeded to binge the entire first season in less than a week. So it really only took me 3-4 days, which isn't very long at all.
And I've been giving a lot of thought to why this scene in particular? What was it about this specific scene that made it all click into place for me? And I don't know why but it's taken me all these years to figure it out in a way that I can articulate, but...
It was Dean's love for Sam. It was watching him, holding the broken, beaten, barely conscious body of his beloved dad and personal hero, watching his baby brother being beaten to a pulp by a creature so much more powerful than anything he'd ever gone up against before, and then watching him gently set John down and and do the unthinkable (but inevitable)... use one of the Colt's precious remaining bullets to save someone who he loved above and beyond anything and anyone else. There were absolutely no doubts that if that first bullet hadn't worked, he would have used every single last one of them, trying to save Sam. And it was that raw, naked, devotion to Sam that drew me in and hooked me so thoroughly. That and Jensen is just an amazing actor with maxed out charisma and who I think is the most beautiful man I've ever laid eyes on, didn't hurt.
It's a shame he didn't try, that would've been hot
