Welcome to the Phantasticus official blog! So what is Phantasticus?

History

Phantasticus is a high fantasy world made by me @nightmares-art on March 13, 2023. Originally it started as me wanting to write about gay moth people and trying to have friends write about gay moths with me. Then it started to grow as I began writing many stories within its setting, with lesbian moth people, and then Waffle the Demon.

After years of world building, and improving in my own skills as a writer and as an artist. And with the addition and help of Phantasticus' wonderful co-creator (who doesn't have socials) who joined in October 19, 2023. I'm finally ready to fully share Phantaticus and it's stories with the world.

The purpose of Phantaticus

Phantaticus was always and still ment to high light stories all across the world. It's goals are to bring awareness and to celebrate diversity in people, places, and animals. Many of the Phantaticus stories are based on myths across many mythologies woven together in one big world.

But due to so many stories of the real world it can both show a lot of good and discuss a lot of mature themes.

There is a highlight on the important of diversity in gender, sexuality, appearance, culture, and disability; This includes the importance of equality and acceptance. As well as the importance in caring and respecting our world and the other living creatures we share it with.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY UMIKO! Today (March 22) is the godling of the sea and riches birthday! There were a lot of thumbnail sketches for this drawing but this more photo shot inspired one ended up being picked. Umiko is one of Phantasticus’ many ego whores after all. Her holy outfit will definitely be reworked but I still love what I came up with for this celebratory doodle.

My fantasy world recently had its 3rd birthday! To celebrate the first official webcomic was released but what I didn’t post about before is that it’s also the Wish Makers or the Goddess of Everything and anything’s birthday! It may not longer be march 13th but here is the artwork that was made to celebrate it!

I know it’s been 35 days since Valkyrie’s birthday but I have decided I should probably upload to drawings I make in celebration of them! I’m still working on officially designing all of my gods holy day outfits. However it’s been fun just throwing my ideas at a drawing. Especially since I haven’t done that in a while. But I still did quite a bit of research to develop these ideas. As well as incorporate my own symbology to the piece like Valkyrie’s holy plant or the holy berry tree.

The first official Phantasticus webcomic is now out on tapas! It’s a free read and I (@nightmares-art) hope to do an upload every Friday.

Home is Where the Waffles are is a dark* high fantasy comic about a wizarding school drop out trying to take an imp girl back to her home. Where they have to face an unwelcoming world riddled with adversities.

*I joke call it a dim fantasy because it’s on the lightest end of dark fantasy while still technically a dark fantasy. Easy to say I recommends 13+

There aren’t many pages but the entire prologue is out and I tried to make is easy to get the vibe and tone of most of the comic. Fair warning the title is VERY intentional but may be a little misleading, I recommend giving it a fair shot by looking at the prologue. And if you have a friend who you think would like it then I definitely encourage sharing.

FINALLY got around to finishing my Alder ref for the comic Home is Where the Waffles are! There aren’t many changes besides the fact that I have gotten way better at drawing over the last year and I changed his sleeves, boots, and incorporated more gold into his design. (I also made this doll bald so I change his hair a lot easier)
