Princey wasn’t always accepting of permafusions. Cause he was raised being brainwashed by homeworld ideals and propaganda. He didn’t hate the fusions he learned about though. He was terrified of ever coming across one. The first time he saw fluorite he thought she was a monster and cowered in fear. But she comforted him. Her slow soft voice was very comforting and she gained his trust. And he wasn’t scared of rhodonite since she seemed to be the one scared of him. 

After he met the off colors he came to accept permafusions and they became members of his court and his family. Fluorite is his grandma. He spent even more time bonding with her after cym cause that’s when his grandma white almost killed him by pulling his gem out. So yeah he needed a good grandma figure bad.
