Summary: On the way back from university, Jim finds a small, black cat that was caught in the rain and decides to take it in. Spock, for his part, is happy to play the part of a normal cat if it means he can spend a few hours in his humanoid form, reading through Jim’s impressive collection of books.

Of course, Jim eventually finds out that his cat is not a normal cat. And of course, they end up falling in love.
