New spinosaurus is sick!
A Virgin with a Unicorn (study of fresco by Domenichino)
Light illuminates the bottom of an ocean we've never known. The Arctic sea, 67 million years ago. Marine snow floats slowly everywhere; the ocean floor is a long blanket of organic matter, harboring a diverse range of microorganisms. Cephalopods similar to deep-sea squid (Bathyteuthis) swim there. From the surrounding darkness, enormous shadows emerge, more than six meters long: large plesiosaurs of the genus Abyssosaurus, from the family Cryptoclididae. These lizards found their way to the deep sea and are our first concrete example of plesiosaurs with clearly bathyplagic adaptations. This painting takes place at a depth of more than 2,000 meters, where light doesn't reach.

After 111 years, a new species has been described in the genus Spinosaurus. A male Spinosaurus mirabilis displays its beautiful crest in a sexual display.

sort of a redraw of my ‘Spinosaurus marshland’, but again just very inspired by the GSL and I love drawing spinos ❤️❤️

A hunter's peril, a painting depicting four extant Antarctic species. Leopard seals scare the heck out of me, and I find these mammals very peculiar in terms of appearance and habits. Their only main predator is the sea menace: Orcas. They can't compete with these intelligent hunters.
This illustration is part of a series of paintings depicting the biodiversity and ecological niches in the oceans through geological time. So, naturally, this painting represents the Cenozoic Era, in our currently Quarternary Period.
