Up down all aroundness
Why do relationships power us around like this? It is disturbing to grasp the depth of emotions fluctuating so rapidly; to such extremes they swing. Being in the midst of full-blown love is quite disturbing and very unsettling, particularly when it is present within you suddenly. You don’t know exactly when it showed up. Certainly no exact pinpoint of when this lovely gift of burden, so utterly desired, came to be. Or why you suddenly have this precious new living love, cradled snug in loving-kindness. emotions surely have colored quite a spectrum, far-reaching indeed.

Romance: judging by its fruit (or lack of)
Know if a relationship is good by judging its fruits. Is the friendship deepening as the partners share and develop mutual interests, desires, goals, and values? D&C 88:40 describes a successful relationship: “Intelligence cleaveth unto intelligence; wisdom receiveth wisdom; truth embraceth truth; virtue loveth virtue; light cleaveth unto light.”
