hannah abbott + herbology

her favorite subject in school, hannah has continued her passion for herbology by taking care of the various magical plants she has placed around the leaky cauldron while keeping the more “lively” ones in her flat.

hannah abbott // hufflepuff house

hannah believed that the reason she was sorted into hufflepuff was because she didn’t fit anywhere else. she was not brave, nor was she particularly smart, and she couldn’t even imagine herself as cunning. but her time at hogwarts taught her that she was so much more than just the “leftovers”. she is loyal, dedicated, and when the time came for it, able to stand up for what was right.

this is going to be a fairly generic request hannah abbott’s #hufflesquad consisting of justin finch fletchley, ernie macmillian, and susan bones.

these three were hannah’s best friends during hogwarts. she was a painfully shy child, so having these people around her during school would have been super important to her. they were sort of the characters that things kind of just happened to and they just had to deal with it? like, justin got paralyzed in his second year and susan splinched her leg during apparition class and they all had to deal with the death of cedric diggory. and remember that time that ernie literally harassed ron and harry about studying for the o.w.l.s.? like, definitely your backgrounds hufflepuffs tbh. but they had each other and they all eventually joined dumbledore’s army and all stood up for what they believed in and honestly i just love these huffledorks.

i don’t have much to say about the individual characters since they didn’t get a lot of time in the books and i’d prefer you interpret them your own way. i did always imagine justin and susan being kind of he leaders of the little group? 

i do need to note that hannah totally had a crush on susan during her time at hogwarts (but didn’t know it at the time). at the start of the site, hannah probably still has some unresolved feelings for susan but has sort of come to terms with susan not having feelings for her (although whether or not that is true would be up to whoever takes her)?

"the normals" is a london-based sketch comedy group/show. it was formed about five years ago by a bunch of university students studying acting at the time. the group was probably around for a longer period of time, with people coming in and out, but who people view as the "members" of this group was solidified about five years ago. they were a large group that essentially went around london preforming anywhere and everywhere -- sometimes even just for a free meal. about three years ago they forced (yes, forced) themselves into tv production and now have their own tv show of doing their own skits. it's pretty much just "the state" (for any of you 90s alt comedy fans out there).

so this is a pretty large group of comedians - probably around 12 - especially for a sketch comedy show. and they all write, direct, produce, edit, and act in their own skits. so, like, it's hella low budget but it's also part of their ~charm. and these twelve comedians, while best friends, are also a huge dysfunctional mess and that's mainly what i'm requesting here.

i imagine all of these people as various different types of a type-a personality. which means that they're pretty much at each others throats all the time. while they definitely love and support each other, they're also sort of in competition with each other, because they're all writing their own stuff and they each want their skits to be the one that makes the cut. and while not in a very self-serving way, but i can imagine that one person thinks their skit is funnier than another person and things escalate and next thing you know there's a chair being thrown across the wall. they're legitimately best friends -- ride hard, die hard bros. they'd die for each other.... but they might also kill each other.

honestly, these characters are hella open. the only requirements be that they were studying acting in london at least five years ago in order to keep with the timeline. and i'd prefer that they'd stay around the 22-28 age range. they're free to have other projects going on, but this would be the thing they're most "known" for.
