“something like that. i was never very big on sayings.” there was a shrug in regards to her next question, fingers tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “i didn’t mind it. i mean – it was never anything i had an issue with. i just didn’t want to become used to it like i did.”
“me either - they’re never as true as people think they are.” if home is where the heart is, it means her heart is in the scattered ashes of her home and family. it’s better to just picture it in her chest where it belongs. “that’s fair - i can’t imagine moving around a lot as a kid. must’ve been hard - sorry to come across as nosy or anything like that.”
