History of Shifting (Quantum Jumping) pt 1 Greece
first we need to take a look at antiquity since shifting/interdimensional traveling existed for a very long time. i know most of these guys were so problematic but lets just discover their ideas. this is a long read and please dont forget to read this first ⬇️
1- Ancient Greece: Democritus, Epicurus, and the infinite worlds Democritus (circa 460 BCE) and later Epicurus argued that the universe is made of infinite, tiny indivisible particles (atoms) moving through an infinite void. Because the void is infinite and atoms are endless, they argued it was statistically impossible for our world to be the only one. Epicurus’s follower, the Roman poet Lucretius, wrote about Cosmic Plurality, the idea that there are infinite other earths with different histories, different people, and different outcomes.
Giordano Bruno (1548-1600) introduced in his works the idea of multiple worlds instantiating the infinite possibilities of a pristine, indivisible One. Bruno (through the mouth of his character Philotheo) in his De l'infinito, universo et mondi (1584) claims that "innumerable celestial bodies, stars, globes, suns and earths may be sensibly perceived therein by us and an infinite number of them may be inferred by our own reason."
Lucretius in his epic poem, De Rerum Natura , posited a universe composed of an infinite number of indivisible particles – atoms – moving in an infinite void.
For these philosophers, it was a logical deduction: if atoms and void are infinite, then there must be an infinite number of combinations and permutations, leading to an infinite number of worlds. These worlds were not necessarily parallel versions of our own, but rather entirely distinct cosmic arrangements, arising and perishing through the ceaseless motion and collision of atoms. Democritus: Believed in an infinite number of worlds, some like ours, some different, constantly forming and dissolving.
Epicurus: Expanded on this, suggesting that these worlds were separated by vast, empty intermundia (the space between worlds) emphasizing the random clinamen (swerve) of atoms as a source of variety.
Lucretius: His poetic exposition in De Rerum Natura vividly describes the endless possibilities arising from infinite matter in infinite space, leading to a profound sense of cosmic plurality.
Quotes from De Rerum Natura -- "it was certainly not by design that the partickles fell into order, they did not work out what they were going to do, but because many of them by many chances struck one another in the course of infinite times and encountered every possible form and model." -- meaning every possibility can exist , remember the dual slit experiment.
