Another thing I loved about this movie is how scrappy Kara is. She gets into fights and gets her shit rocked constantly but she always gets back up, and she also throws her whole body into the fight and just fucking brawls. It's a very different approach from Superman who is always doing everything so carefully and neatly, even in fights. I love how Kara has her own distinct style and way of using her powers.

difference between clark’s parents’ expectations for him and kara’s parents’ expectations for her versus how they actually turned out is very funny i think. imagine meeting your son who you sent off to be a god with a huge harem on another planet and he’s like the nicest most helpful innocent man ever and he works a minimum wage job and has his entire identity hidden so he can be a normal guy just like everyone else and he has 1 situationship who he’s lowkey fumbling. so you look over to see how your niece (who was sent to earth with no instructions other than to be good) is doing and turns out she’s not even on earth she’s pub crawling from planet to planet ignoring her responsibilities and being an asshole in her free time and instead of helping and working together with your son she just keeps hanging up on him

im so serious guys. i never actually got into supercorp bc the series kara is waaaaaaaaay too vanilla and boringg BUT. 2026 supergirl. with lena luthor. lex goes to prison and lena is left with his MEGA EVIL SUPERCORP and shes trying so hard to fix it and maybe liquidate most of it to donate to charity and she thanks superman everyday for stopping lex but also kind of like. wants to give him a good shake. yk? angry cry a bit. and then she meets kara zor el throwing up in an alley!!!!!!!!!!!!! saddest girl in the whole universe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and they talk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! maybe kara sees how tired lena looks and she invites her to #cope in the only way she knows how, and drags her to a party on the other side of the galaxy. maybe she brings lena to new planets and shows her views she could have never imagined. she knocks on her windows to bother her at work and sends her terrible pictures of krypto. and krypto loooooooooooooooves lena!!!!!!!!! it's actually the first time kara feels the need to train him bc he keeps running full force into her and that would kinda. kill her. so krypto learns his first command and its "STOP!!!!!" (lena is the one who actually teaches him) and lena grounds kara so much. she explains things to kara for hours on end and kara keeps looking at her like she hung the stars in the sky. she makes kara decide to properly clean her space ship bc she got so embarassed the first time lena came over that she did a Complete Overhaul. they hold hands when they talk about the bad stuff that happened to them and they have beer nights where they bitch about their cousins/brothers. lena becomes the NUMBER 1 supergirl stan and she's sending emails to the daily mail about how much they push superman articles and forget abt her!!! they both started doing humble jobs!!!!!! UGH. they have a shy first kiss in lena's office. when they tell clex they're dating superman breaks out a trembling smile and a ". cool 👍" while lex starts screaming and crying and falling to his knees like hes being stabbed
