Let me tell you a little story, usually i drink a lot with punk and metalhead people (i do it since i were younger, with people of my age) but heres the fact
Since i joined this new group i feel just like if i joined into some kind of RastaFarMetalPunk family.
They roasted me in the beginning (i admid it lol 2 years have passed) yup, the same fucking jokes about my age (16 then) my generation (and every fucking thing someone older than you spit usually) but this post goes for two young souls who taught me heavy shit about the life
Lets call them Carl and John (pretty accurate for the real names) Carl is the vocals and lead guitars of “mal aspecto” (an important punk band from my country) John is a tattooist.
Early in the morning i received an sms of Carl with his usual text phrase “Yo! Puppy! Lets drink some rum!! ” after classes i called the first taxi i saw and threw my day away with the hope of drowning myself in alcohol.
As usually Carl was with his GF and a bottle full of cheap rum, shot after shot we ended up talking about the old days and a topic came out, a story of how Carl broke Johns Teeth fighting in the beach. When he finished we took a zip of rum and his funny and crazy face turned into a blue expression, for the first time i saw Carl sad.
He punched me hard AF in the arm (as john used to do it) and with a little smile said “as you grow up try to keep close your loved beings, maybe i’ll be dead when you hit my age (he is 29) but i guarantee you something, if you dont live every moment with them you’ll regret it, i spend almost all my life with John and now he’s gone, now i feel that it wasn’t enought time”
John ran out of the country when he saw the opportunity, i guess that Panama had better life options for him.
Carl smokes weed like a hippie (obviously he is my dealer) , loves cocaine as a fucking member of a cartel, almost died by a Heroine overdose, drinks rum as a pirate, stabbed a lot of idiots and is a fucking drunk
But he’s a loving father, protect the youngest, die for his ideals, his lyrics are awesome, is the last Punk left on the state (NO SHIT, THE FUCKING LAST ONE, the other one was John), knows the streets like a map. And guess what? He have feelings too.
I dont know if he’s a clown nor a Role model. (sorry 4 my bad english)
