Every accusation is a confession.
My Tumblr account has lasted longer than the confederacy.
a fucking men
its like ur only a ‘good or valuable disabled person’ if you ‘never let it stop you’ but its inherent that most peoples disabilities DO stop you from doing things you need or have to do.
[Image ID: a tweet from Ryan Honick, 1 day ago, which reads "I don't know who needs to hear this but the "I never let my disability/pain/illness stop me" is an ableist and harmful narrative. Sometimes chronic issues are debilitating and they do stop you. And you shouldn't be made to feel guilty about it. Period." End ID]
How’s this for a better narrative?
“I don’t let my disability, pain, or illness convince me I am not fully human”
Or, better still:
“I won’t let your fear of my disability, pain or illness make me forget my humanity.”

Donald Trump is incapable of properly leading the country because leadership requires attention, empathy and concern for the people who are following you. Trump is incapable of that behavior. Donald Trump is not able to do the right thing because he does not care about doing what is right. Donald Trump is the weakest of men. The bully is always the weakest person.
Former Harvard psychiatrist Lance Dodes: Trump is trying to “turn America into a police state" (via wilwheaton)
It has been forever since I’ve updated my tumblr but I am going to try and post more. Things have been exhausting lately due to chronic illnesses. Also sometimes the people in my life don’t consider this pandemic serious yet the Covid 19 could mean death to me because of being immune compromised. For a few years I have dealt with PTSD from my work and a number of things that happened to me there. I did not have the support of management so currently I am off work and due to my illnesses basically rearing their ugly head I am off for the foreseeable future. I resigned my position. It has been hard to claw my way back. I am no where near healthy mentally but I am eons from where I was. While I was working, I literally did not care, about anything. It was both scary and exhausting. I did not care if I lived or if I died. I was that far gone. Which translated in my work at times unfortunately. Compounded by the lack of support was just a recipe for disaster. I have been in counseling for over a year. It has been very rewarding and hard at the same time. But I am hopeful my mental health will be as near recovered as it can be.

It’s highly unlikely that nobody in the Augusta office of the Brian Kemp for Governor campaign knew who James Stachowiak was. They let him into the event and had no problem with him posing with Kemp. Even if you give the Republicans the benefit of the doubt, and nobody knew who Stachowiak was, Brian Kemp was perfectly comfortable taking a picture with a man wearing a blatantly anti-Muslim shirt at a publicized campaign event. Why? Because Brian Kemp shares Stachowiak’s values. Even after the photo surfaced and Georgia CAIR (Council on America Islamic Relations) and other organizations throughout Georgia asked Brian Kemp to condemn Stachowiak and his beliefs— he didn’t. This is the point in the story where we’re supposed to wring our hands and get indignant about what a terrible guy Brian Kemp is and how hate is bad, etc., etc. That part is obvious. From his voter suppression, to his support for Brett Kavanaugh to his poor taste in wing restaurants (who has campaign events at Wild Wings Cafe when you’ve got a Zaxby’s on every corner in Georgia?), Brian Kemp is not Georgia’s best choice for governor. However, now you have to view Brain Kemp’s selfie in the context of what has been happening in this country over the last month. Brian Kemp sympathizes with terrorists.
White Nationalist Who Threatened Stacey Abrams’ Campaign Poses for Picture With Brian Kemp
One of the reasons Anne and I are very seriously considering leaving America is the embrace of terrorist extremists by right wing Republicans.
Because people like Trump and Kemp are normalizing and encouraging the views, beliefs, and actions of right wing domestic terrorists, we are both sincerely afraid that what we saw this past week is on its way to becoming normalized and a routine experience in a country that is rapidly ceasing to reflect the values of the majority of its citizens.

A middle school in Achille, Oklahoma is closed following violent threats by parents on social media against Maddie, a 12-year-old transgender student who identifies as female and used the girls’ bathroom.
Maddie had been using the staff bathroom at her old school but used the girls’ bathroom at the new school because she wasn’t sure where the staff bathroom was. She was then accused of peeping under a bathroom stall. Her mother said it was probably because she “leans very far forward to use the bathroom.”
Then the threats began on a private parents’ Facebook group for the school. The parents called Maddie “it” and “thing”, suggested that her genitalia be mutilated to make her female (“a good sharp knife will do the job real quick”). One said it was “hunting season on them kind” and said there was “no bag limit.”
Maddie’s mother Brandy Rose said she fears for her life: “These are adults making threats– I don’t understand it. She’s an awesome kid. To see any fear in her, I can’t explain how bad that hurts me for them to hurt her.”
KXII reports: “The sheriff said the mother filed a protective order against one parent but no other arrests have been made, however several agencies including the FBI are stepping in to see if any comments constitute a hate crime.”
See the screenshots:
Sorry to say this but if we have to think about whether or not threatening to cut a 12 year old child is a hate crime means there is no hope for us. What has this nation become when it’s citizens feel they have a right to threaten minorities with no fear of repercussion. The only ringing heard now is the death knell of freedom..
Savages…
Oklahoma Sheriff Investigating Parents Who Threatened To Mutilate Trans Kid
i think about this a lot
The guy got his life and career destroyed by his divorce, cut him some slack.
he was also sexually assaulted by a man who could destroy his career
protect him
reblog if the man on the right is just as beautiful as the man on the left
people grow old? like, that’s a thing that happens? leave my guy alone.
This man deserves everything let him he happy
Ok… This is what happened to Fraser
-His wife ditched him and asked for 900k a year,
-He was sexually assaulted which he said kicked him into a deep depression
-He stated that the stunts from the 3rd Mummy movie completely destroyed his body and he was in and out of the hospital for 7 years even having to get surgery to repair his vocal cords.
-He apparently blamed himself for all this which only worsened his depression.
This man has literally been through hell this past decade so please lets cut him some slack and wish him the best
All this but also that picture on the right is a really bad paparazzi photo compared with a professional quality movie promo still. No one looks good when some random person snaps you on the street, regardless of who you are.
Compare with this image from the GQ article last February:
Proper lighting, professional setting, good angles etc.
The dude is 49 and has had a rough couple of decades, but he’s still lovely to look at, and I’ll fight anyone who says otherwise.
This is what we’re dealing with, folks.
45 is a 5 year old.
We have to do this again.

IVF update: A little less than two weeks ago, I had two embryos transfered into my uterus. I was on 13 daily medications, including three daily injections, to try to encourage at least one one of these embyos to stick around. Yesterday, my blood test came back negative for pregnancy.
It’s likely that Kat and I will have to do another egg retrieval, since we only have two embryos left and from the same batch that these past two were from. That means financing another $4k procedure and purchasing about $3k in meds. This will be my third retrieval, and I’m sure they will do a different med protocol to try to get higher quality eggs.
I don’t want to give up. I want to have a baby. I’ve been trying to have a baby for over two years now. We’ve poured so much energy, both physical and emotional, into this. I don’t want to come this far, after so many challenges and losses, and just give up.
Please, if you are able, please donate to our campaign, or reblog the post if you aren’t able. Or both! Kat and I have so much love to give, and we’ve already done too much to stop here. Thank you for considering helping us.
We love you.
Kat and Meredith.

I’m watching that documentary “Before Stonewall” about gay history pre-1969, and uncovered something which I think is interesting.
The documentary includes a brief clip of a 1954 televised newscast about the rise of homosexuality. The host of the program interviewed psychologists, a police officer, and one “known homosexual”. The “known homosexual” is 22 years old. He identifies himself as Curtis White, which is a pseudonym; his name is actually Dale Olson.
So I tracked down the newscast. According to what I can find, Dale Olson may have been the first gay man to appear openly on television and defend his sexual orientation. He explains that there’s nothing wrong with him mentally and he’s never been arrested. When asked whether he’d take a cure if it existed, he says no. When asked whether his family knows he’s gay, he says that they didn’t up until tonight, but he guesses they’re going to find out, and he’ll probably be fired from his job as well. So of course the host is like …why are you doing this interview then? and Dale Olson, cool as cucumber pie, says “I think that this way I can be a little useful to someone besides myself.”
1954. 22 years old. Balls of pure titanium.
Despite the pseudonym, Dale’s boss did indeed recognize him from the TV program, and he was promptly fired the next day. He wrote into ONE magazine six months later to reassure readers that he had gotten a new job at a higher salary.
Curious about what became of him, I looked into his life a little further. It turns out that he ultimately became a very successful publicity agent. He promoted the Rocky movies and Superman. Not only that, but get this: Dale represented Rock Hudson, and he was the person who convinced him to disclose that he had AIDS! He wrote the statement Rock read. And as we know, Rock Hudson’s disclosure had a very significant effect on the national conversation about AIDS in the U.S.
It appears that no one has made the connection between Dale Olson the publicity agent instrumental in the AIDS debate and Dale Olson the 22-year-old first openly gay man on TV. So I thought I’d make it. For Pride month, an unsung gay hero.
dude had guts, someone needs to update his Wikipedia page
that is honestly really awesome
Rachel was given an AP News report live on air. She was not prepared for the information it contained.
Babies are being taken away and placed in “tender age” shelters.
She then tweeted what she could not say on air…
[ AP News Article ]
I’ve seen some conservatives claim that the liberals and Democrats don’t actually care about these kids. That we are faking outrage in order to condemn President Trump.
My rebuttal…
Bullshit.
I care.
My friends care.
Rachel Maddow cares.
We fucking care.
They will then say that we didn’t seem to care when Obama was putting kids in cages and “ICE boxes.”
The truth is, I didn’t know. Maybe that was a failure on my part. Perhaps I could have done a better job of informing myself. I don’t know. If I had known, I would have spoken out about it.
But this situation is still very different. This is a NEW policy. They are taking kids away from their parents. They are willingly traumatizing young children. They are causing them Toxic Stress and may even be harming them for life.
And they are doing it as a bargaining chip.
Trump wants his wall. He wants more border security. He wants to restrict legal immigration as well. Ending visa lotteries and programs that help bring family members over. He thinks that most immigrants will not vote Republican so he wants to close up the U.S. completely.
And he is willing to take these kids… these babies… hostage.
“Gimme The Wall or else!”
It’s… deplorable.
I CARE.
