Whenever sickness or death arrives, people tend to realize that they wasted a lot of time when life was normal. And itās not just what they did with their time, like spending too much time working or compulsively checking email. Donāt you know that thereās going to come a day when youāll be sick, or someone close to you will die, and you will look back on the kinds of things that captured your attention, and youāll think āWhat was I doing?ā. You know this, and yet if youāre like most people, youāll spend most of your time in life tacitly presuming youāll live forever. Like, watching a bad movie for the fourth time, or bickering with your spouse. These things only make sense in light of eternity. There is absolutely nothing holding you back from sharing what you're most passionate about, so why don't you give it a try? Don't you know that one day it'll all be over with, and you'll think about all of those missed opportunities, opportunities you can seize on today! The time for sitting idly by is over and the time for taking charge is here. You have a voice, use it. If you don't show your sympathies, who will? If you do not articulate your values and beliefs, who will?
