Hello! Thank you for the kind words - I really appreciate them :). Unfortunately, I don’t have any templates for ships/pairs but I’m pretty sure there are some available from other creators. In terms of the postcards or letters, I have some templates with a similar style (KODAK, PROSAIC) - unless you wanted something specific to that!

images, tables & drawings were used, nothing should be too hard to change in terms of color. another reminder to not go over the word limit! if you need more room in sections like the personality / backstory, i'd recommend copying the section onto another page for more room, or linking a continuation.

to change images you should replace the images instead of copying them into the document ( left - click on the image, and press replace ).

some images are placed behind text, or other items. you might notice this when trying to click on an image and nothing pops up! to change said images, you'll need to right click on it, and choose the select image at the top of the toolbar that pops up. once its highlighted, you also need to change the orientation to 'in front of text'. then you can normally change the image! to put it back, just choose to put the image 'behind text'.

works on mobile, however no drawings are editable.

some items are hidden behind other drawings / images. to select them, right click, and choose select image. you'll need to choose "place in front of text" so that you can access it easier as well.

So, none of them are actually screenshots! I download all of my docs as PDFs, and then change them into pngs ( search up pdf to png ). that's it! The process is super simple, and the quality is great.

Hi! Thank you so much for this ask. To answer your question, no, I haven't taken any tutorials or anything like that. When I first started out, I initially looked at the free docs that were available during that time and I just messed around with them to see what I could/couldn't do! Most of my docs are still just me messing around and seeing what comes out of it. I would deifnitely reccomend doing the same, but some people may learn differently! My suggestion would still be to take a look at some docs you have, mess around and tweak them, and see what happens!

google doc template duplicate & copylock guide with images!

I usually try to include a quick set of instructions in my free templates on how to duplicate (& copylock) documents, but from time to time I still get requests for edit access to my templates, which isn't necessary to be using these templates!

I've gone ahead and created a quick guide with images & added a link to them in the form of comments in all of my free templates, and will be doing so for all my future free templates. you can also star the document so it's saved under "starred" in you google drive for easy access in the future! instructions with images to do this are within the guide itself.

for creators, feel free to share this guide document within any of your templates! hope this is useful for everyone!
