The dialect was unmistakable. A past that he had remained unknown to him until recently, albeit the unfortunate situation unraveled and it once again brought the world on the knees of a protector. This time around he could not be the guiding hand, merely he sent his troops (under the guise and order of Reeve) to demolish the threat.

While the clicking of her boots remained ignored behind him, it was the vocals that caused his step to stop and his Turks to turn sharply around on their heels with fists raised or hands paced inside their blazers.

“Gremlins,” Rufus said slowly, a spill of a sigh. “Only gremlins that escaped their cages were from where you originated.” He gave way to his trademark shrug. “Otherwise the lives of others have been pleasantly going about their business without a threat—for once.” Why did he think this was all going to change?

Oh, how wonderful! They greeted her with the promise of violence~ A smile overtook red-painted lips, her half-folded arms remaining exactly where they were as she shifted her weight more unto one leg than the other; her pausing only due to theirs. “Well - perhaps the blame should be shifted to daddy dearest, hmm? One cannot play god without consequence, no?” In essence, it was not Deepground’s fault for what they were turned into, for how they were raised, manipulated, guided. They were what they were because they had been designed, nothing more. “How are you, darling? Fathomed anything corrupt recently? Perhaps we could bounce ideas, hmm?”

Slow was the pacing of her long legs, the click of her heels against the flooring one of which was as perfectly timed as the gait she chose to walk; thoughts accompanying each and every movement she made, much akin to a feline awaiting some variety of surprise. Where she was, she did not know, but there was not a single fibre within her being that wanted to turn tail and run, remove herself from the unknown and head back to comfort. Oh no, Rosso enjoyed the thrill of the hunt, she enjoyed the taste of danger within the air, she was addicted to the faster beating of her heart. Through hallways did she continue, fingers simply itching to draw her bladed weapon from it’s holster upon her back but she persevered without it - for curiosity was strong.

Yes, Rosso could recall her face - she had been there during the battle, she had been nearby when Weiss failed as Omega; the crimson having disappeared before the famous Vincent Valentine but only a short time before. Death? Oh no - she had faked that to ensure her own survival and there she was - stood in the light of day - having already learned much of what she had once been denied. “I thought you’d died.” So she was stronger than expected-  and certainly Rosso’s utterance was hardly one of endless welcomes; social situation were still uncomfortable and new after all.

The length of her blade spanned more than her height when allowed to open, the expanse a fierce weapon when wielded by her hands and oh, what a beautiful opportunity arouse when wild wolves from the depths of the forest she found herself within closed in on her location, seeing her as nary more than a brief, midnight snack. Her skill and knowledge allowed quick decimation of the beasts, bloodied remains clinging to the silver of her weapon, staining the heels of her boots and the bare of her long legs. Oh, such a beautiful aesthetic. Enjoyment of the kill lasted but only seconds, for her attention was grasped swiftly elsewhere; the feeling of a presence and thus once more was her blade wielded in anticipation for anything else; “Show yourself-”

Deceased hunters strewn across the wilderness were hardly a sight any would wish to come across but given the battle of which had just occurred between them and a rather large, particularly angry beast, Rosso was scarcely surprised. They had been ill prepared for such a large battle and the lack of skill among them had sealed their fate long before any had set foot into the wilderness; had she not been there the monstrosity may have simply wandered off. “I see more and more bodies as each day passes-” She uttered, only noting another presence after she had taken a few steps away from the grisly scene; her heels sopped in blood, golden gauntlets dotted with smears of red. “...they get closer to outposts, too- And yet the hunters are so ill prepared...it is little wonder they are dropping so quickly.” Simply fertiliser, the lot of them.

She recognised him - blonde hair styled into spikes, his stature, his build - yes, had they not crossed blades during Deepground’s rebellion? When Weiss was to fuse with omega? Ah - yes. She remembered. In fact, she remembered well for it was not long after their clash that she faked her own death before the Valentine male and hid herself away to recover, to learn of the world of which she had been denied in favour of being manipulated into a beast. “Come back for some more sparring, darling? Or is there something else on your mind?” Contrary, perhaps, to popular belief she had not been the one to harm or slay any missing persons but instead had been keeping herself busy slaying monstrosities around the ruins of Midgar, where she knew well.

“I’m going to presume that Shin-Ra are still being their unethical selves?” The question was largely rhetorical, in a sense; the female of whom stood upon the roof overlooking a warehouse fire in the distance one of whom was stained by the company’s hands. Severely. Ruby eyes tear from the sight of smoke and flames for but only long enough to regard the sudden company of the female. Rosso had heard of them; Turks. Ever since she had faked her own death before the Omega rising she had done well to keep herself on the down-low and learn more of her surroundings. It was exactly like the sable used to say - Knowledge was power.

Long legs paused in their pacing to regard the beast in the distance; a rather large monstrosity of which lingered in the cover of trees, seemingly searching for prey of some variety. The learning curve of which she was experiencing since being released (escaping) from the facility of which she had been imprisoned within, was nothing short of intense; everything the outside world had to offer was simply unknown to her; all she knew was blood, murder, training, obedience. No longer would she heed their calls! “Is that what they call a Daemon, darling?” She questioned; a being nearby catching her attention though ruby eyes did nothing to move from the thing in the distance, away from where the light of the small outpost could touch. At least it was warm, offered comforts and rest; but the sight of the beast made the female wish to step out there, test her strength toward it. “And they do not linger in daylight, correct?” Only then did she turn upon her heels and regard the male nearby more thoroughly; tall, easy on the eyes-.

Never was the Crimson granted permission, or access, to leave the floor she was dedicated to - she of whom was known for spontaneous murder, disallowed into the general population of the vulgar facility, paced the halls out of utter boredom. There was little to do, unable to test the confines of her prison due to the cameras constantly trained upon her position, the chip within her neck something of which could render her unconscious should she disobey. Ludicrous.  That morning, however, proved to be different for she had been manoeuvred and locked within a singular room; her own quarters as she so named them; and others were using the floor due to lack of space elsewhere. She was not kept within the loop of information, after all and thus she could only watch through the small window in the door, eyeing all of whom walked passed.

T’was beautiful - the sight of the sun setting beyond the horizon, as if the planet itself was swallowing it whole. So many colours she couldn’t have imagined if her person had remained within the depths of Deepground’s many floors; all clinical, all plain, all made of metal and misery. Absolutely, they were nothing like the sight before her eyes and she took but only a moment to soak it all in before flexing her strength around her weapon, holstering it upon her back once again, heels clicking against the ground beneath as she stepped away from the scene; a bloodied mess of once-soldiers. Her saunter only came to pause when honed senses trailed the presence of another being, nearby as far as she could tell and thus ruby eyes turned to analyse her surroundings; trees, burnt ground, jutting ruins; little more as far as she could tell but there was something out there. “Fell like showing yourself?”

OOC: I have 12 starters to write and then get to replies, too. I’m actually gonna be around today - attempting to relax. I’m also catching up on making icons for another blog but I’m here in the meantime.

OOC: I promised replies this afternoon - I just don’t think I’m going to be able to get to them. Not only am I generally a bit unmotivated but I’m also utterly exhausted from  painting my Nan’s lounge most of the day; the ceiling, the skirting boards; everything and honestly… I am so done. I’ve got her hallway to do tomorrow and already am I dropping off to sleep. I might to get to some of them later on when I’ve had a nap - but it is likely they will come tomorrow afternoon/evening; depending on how dead I am. I am so sorry I have been slacking lately but I absolutely adore you all and I can’t wait to be able to come back.
