Aurore is a third year student at RSA, currently house warden of the sleeping beauty inspired dorm.

Aurore is also the next king of the Kingdom of Heroes, which naturally made him the center of attention in RSA.

Unlike Malleus whose powerful aura pushes people away from him, Aurore draws people towards him as they feel a sense of security around him.

He was only recently enrolled into school during his second year as his family brought him back from isolation for training, far away from the world’s eyes.

At first glance, Aurore may seem like the ideal dream prince: Kind, Polite, Courageous, Strong and Smart as he is consistent in securing top grades across his cohort. But deep down, he isn’t exactly the perfect prince most of his peers think he is.

Aurore is actually afraid of strangers and overwhelming attention ( he was raised in isolation so meeting humans are.. yeah) He is skilled at hiding his weakness but starts blanking out if there are too many people crowding around him.

As a result, he finds happiness in spending time alone in places where no one recognises him. He usually takes a short stroll around Sage Island’s various forests when his caretakers aren’t looking.

Strangely, Aurore mentions that his enjoyment from lonely strolls only existed because he would suddenly find himself in unknown places as a child…as if something or someone was calling him. But he became mentally stronger as he got older and knows how to guard himself during his impromptu walks.

Bonus personal theory/lore:

Hi! So if you have been following me since i started creating twst ocs, you would be familiar with a certain comic i drew for an Aurora Oc ( its not exactly Aurore because i didn’t flesh him out) . But to sum up my theory for that comic:

There was once a powerful kingdom that clashed with briar valley, humans and fae did not get along as well back then.

Somewhere in between the war, both of the queen’s sons were cursed by a powerful magician and separated at birth. The queen initially wanted to send her two sons far away from the castle, but only managed to send one tucked away in a casket that drifted on a hidden river which led to a forest.

The war ended a few days later, with both fae and humans forming a truce. The queen fell into depression after realising that her second son probably did not make it and blamed herself for not keeping him a little longer had she known he would have been safe and alive in her arms.

Time heals wounds, and with some reassurance from the King the Queen got back up on her feet stronger for the sake of her people. Of course, sometimes the servants would catch a glimpse of the lonely Queen staring into the far forests wondering if she will ever see those small pair of Aurora coloured eyes again.

Because the Queen conceived her two sons alone away from the servants, only she and the King were aware of their other missing son. The three fairy advisors who had protected them from the very start told the Queen that if word of two cursed princes were to spread, the kingdom would be doomed to fall . The Queen had no choice but to accept this decision, and so they entrusted their only son to the three fairies in case the curse within him acts up. Hence Aurore was raised in isolation away from the world’s attention and only enrolled in his second year to prevent the curse from possibly manifesting.

In this story I created Silver is the missing prince in question who drifted far into the forest and eventually picked up by Lilia. His only proof of his royal status is a ring with an aurora coloured gem (Book 7 mention).

Regarding the curse: Silver was cursed to feel drowsy all the time while Aurore was cursed to follow a voice in his head which leads him to sleepwalk into dangerous places alone. Silver’s hair colour reminds me of the spindle/needle, so in a way he contains the sleeping curse. Like Aurora, Aurore is drawn into strange places by a voice and eventually to the spindle. Hence these two will always feel an unfamiliar sense of closeness to each other.

“Yao why do you think Silver would have a brother? Much less the RSA guy inspired by Aurora? Doesn’t Silver already have Aurora’s traits?”

In general this is just my own fun theory to think about, but my reasons are because i think it would be interesting if Silver canonically had living family member(s) from a royal family( that ring kinda tells all). It would also put him in place wondering if he should return to his biological human family or stay with his Briar Valley family as he feels a stronger bond with them. With the way TWST tackles issues about fae/human like Sebek from example, i would love to see Silver’s resolve for his found family.

In my old comic, the Aurora OC actually dislikes Fae because of the war. He especially hates Lilia because he believed the war criminal took his own brother away and is promoting peace despite his past.

I feel Aurore would dislike Lilia but eventually learns to see the war from both sides as humans aren’t all that great either, he is still a naive prince with much to learn about the world. So while Silver does have Aurora’s trait, Aurore may have some of King Stefan’s from Maleficent/OG film. TWST tends to combine diff character traits anyways🌝👍

Times Squall and Cloud have parented a little to close to the sun and convinced the people of Radient gardens that Sora is their kid (age be damned):

That time Sora emergency landed the gummy ship in Radient square and all Squall did was shout at people to get back while he picked Sora out of the ship and took him to get medical attention.

The time Cloud delivered Sora and Squall a pack lunch while they were helping on the construction site and informed Sora that he had indeed removed the crusts from his sandwich. Sora was pleased.

The very public “hurt him and I kill you” speech Squall gave Riku. Complete with chest poking and the words “have I made myself understood?”

The time Sora fell asleep with his head in Clouds lap at an outdoor music performance for the radient day festival and all Cloud did was tug the picnic blanket over him and smooth his hair back.

The time Squall took the keyblade kids to the grand opening of Radient gardens botanical house and gave them all instructions on when to meet him back at the cafe so he could make sure they all ate.

As part of this, Cloud yelling “don’t go too far”, when Sora bolted up the spiral stairs with Kairi to see the view from the top.

Very public displays of Checking Sora has all of his gear and spare munny before he goes on an adventure.

The fact that Squall can track his gummi phone and specifically threa- asked Chip and Dale to install a tracking feature so he knew Sora was safe.

Cloud occasionally using this feature for turning up in worlds unannounced to make sure Sora has eaten and/or slept. He has found Sora sleep deprived more times than is strictly healthy.

Squall disapprovingly telling Yuffie not to wind Sora up.

Cloud reflexively resting a hand on Sora’s shoulder when they stand together. Never a strong grip but always supportive.

Squall staring down the magic items vendor who was rude to Sora about his ability to use magic.

Cloud deciding to do some heartless clear ups if he’s told that Sora is coming in advance, so that the kid doesn’t have to work while he’s there.

The fact that they refer to him as “my kid” to strangers in anecdotes, and to people who threaten Sora. The words “get the hell away from my kid” has been uttered a few times.

Has Sora tried to remind them that he is not, in fact, their son? Yes. Has he also pointed out that they are not old enough to have a son his age? Also yes. Does he quite like having a pair of guardian figures that look out for him while he travels? ….yes, but don’t tell them or they will get worse.

A season 2 ending that actually would have been a hard choice.

I feel like this could have worked if Kenny was slightly more crazy, and tensions between him and Luke were at a boiling point.

Also I tweaked Luke's outfit a bit because watching these mfs walk around in Michigan winter with only jackets and sweatshirts pisses me off to this day lmao.

Anyways, back into the Hazbin Hotel pool, I've got some goodies planned.

More headcannons but this time it’s flambert ones cause i love them

-pre relationship flambae is absolutely in despair and denial of being attracted to such a “basic bitch” and he’s very not happy about it

-gets comically concerned when Robert gets hurts or sick and masks it by being an asshole and leaving unmarked soups and medicine on his desk thinking he’s slick

-he’s not, Robert knows and is extremely confused about it

-Robert softens up considerably when he gets to know flambae a little better, he flirts and jokes around a lot because he loves getting him flustered

-but he doesn’t realise he actually means what he’s saying until it’s too late and he’s like “oh fuck, oh no”

-Robert tunes it up considerably after that but flambaes a little too thick to notice and Robert is increasingly frustrated about it

-I can see them starting out as friends with bens, I think the tension would boil over eventually and they’d mess around together but both be too proud to admit they actually have feelings

-I think it’d continue ramping up after that, flambae would start leaving bigger gifts on Robert’s balcony, things he thinks he needs like a tv or a smoothie maker and just general things his flat is missing etc. and flying away before he notices (he is not slick about it)

-Robert starts getting touchy, a lot of shoulder holding and brushing up against him, mooning at him when he thinks no one’s watching

-they’re pretty “active” with eachother, lots of sneaking away into closets and slipping off during group meetings, they try and be discreet but EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE knows

-the team is profoundly sick of their shit and groan every time they’re in the same vicinity of eachother because they know they’ll have to watch them pine over eachother for the duration

-I think one of them would eventually get frustrated enough about the situation that it’s boil over into an argument that’d lead into them getting into an actual relationship

-if the z team thought they were insufferable before, boy oh boy

-they can’t keep their hands off of eachother ever, frequently caught cuddling in the break room and occasional blindness to anyone else on call with them during dispatches because they’re too wrapped up in eachother

-think they’d move in together almost immediately, you know those memes about lesbians moving super quick? Yeah them too, flambaes absolutely imagining extravagant ways to propose within the month

-flambae does all the cooking in the house and loves feeding Robert knowing how shitty he used to eat, just loves knowing he’s done or is doing well and Robert adores his cooking so it’s a win win on that front

-active couple, like going on hikes and to the gym together

-elite tier banter, teasing and squabbling with eachother is their love language

-both excessively protective of eachother, if one of them got kidnapped best believe the other would be there within the hour ready to get violent on the spot

-love just hanging out and spending time together but have a great time doing things as a team too

-Robert riding him in mechaman roleplay WHO SAID THAT

-they’re really good for eachother, Robert helps him calm down during panic attacks or flare ups of his anger issues and flambae makes sure he’s taking care of himself

-Robert gets on well with his niece, they have absolutely been mistaken for her gay dads on frequent occasions

-watch a lot of crappy tv together, this usually ends with Robert falling asleep on top of flambae (just walking radiator things)

I keep thinking about the gym scene with Flambae and how he could have easily dipped out and let Robert heavily injured/killed from the weights, but he still steps in to give him a hand. He is a huge asshole about it, but his advice is still in a ways true.

That and the fact he was obviously showing Robert his bulge. That bitch was totally flirting.

GOD, THE GYM SCENE. There are SO many interesting things going on in this scene! And not just with Flambae and Robert, but also with the setting, and how Flambae and Robert (and their worldview) fit into it?? And what bearing that has on Flambae's perception of Robert's lack of powers?? (And what that means for his attraction to Robert, of course, hehehe)

Like, this safety/motivational poster is pretty par for a gym. You shouldn't lift without a spotter! But it's INSANE to me that it implies you ONLY need to do this if you don't have superpowers?

Are we meant to interpret this as evidence that supers naturally have greater strength and constitution than "normies"? That they recover more quickly from injuries? That they're just straight up harder to kill?

(As an aside, this does slightly recontextualize Flambae hitting Waterboy with his car for me. If he's obviously a super, and supers can just naturally take bigger hits, then MAYBE Flambae knew he would be fine...? Still not great, but we don't love him because he's perfect 😂)

Anyway, I believe Flambae also says Waterboy can bench more than Robert? (Couldn't find a screenshot of this, but it's when he calls him "Wetwipeboy"). So even though Waterboy looks like he has the upper body strength of a wet paper towel, he can bench more than Robert at upwards of 120 lbs. This corroborates the impression the motivational poster gives that supers are just naturally stronger than those without powers, even if their powers don't necessarily seem to have anything to do with strength.

Though in fairness, Robert is obviously reaching muscle failure at the end of a workout, and probably also recklessly pushing himself to muscle failure on a dangerous piece of equipment as some kind of form of masochistic flagellation to alleviate his diminished sense of self worth, or as a kind of punishment for his perceived failures. (Also, if he's trying to build his strength up he shouldn't be doing cardio right before lifting, so either he's willfully biting off more than he can chew or his knowledge of proper strength training techniques is actually surprisingly low for a career hero).

MORE ON WHAT ROBERT'S WORKOUT CHOICES SAY ABOUT HIM: the bench press is a technique intended to build upper body strength, to the exclusion of other body parts. And this is the workout he fails to complete because he takes on more than he can handle. A metaphor for Robert's hyper-independence, and how he can't do it alone?? Flambae, save him from himself...

FLAMBAE, BY CONTRAST: is doing squats, which develop core strength and stability. Given identical weights, they're easier than bench presses--but Flambae is also batting 280 lbs on those things, so he's flexing on Robert completely here lmao. But you know, for the allegedly volatile, tantrum-throwing, loose cannon "walking fireball" character, I would have expected him to be doing something... flashier? Like curls, or something?

Honestly, the choice of exercises for both of them in this scene feels INESCAPABLY deliberate. Like maybe we're meant to understand Flambae has a surprisingly strong emotional foundation? Unexpectedly robust coping strategies??? He DOES come to Robert's housewarming party prepared to move forward after only a day of stewing in his feelings of hatred, which feels pretty big of him for someone who claims to have been "waiting a long time" for a rematch when Robert first encounters him in Crypto Night!

And Flambae's weird, backhanded way of showing support is so interesting. It casts a veil of enmity over all the good things about him--makes us biased against Flambae WITH Robert based on his/our first impression, so we take his "Bitch, you can't be stuttering on your first day" and "The important thing is you suck" at face value alongside the rest of the Z-Team's hostility and bickering, instead of recognizing the moments were he abstains from outright hostility (he doesn't bully Waterboy with the rest of the team at the beginning of his first shift, and he doesn't sabotage anyone). Once we get to know him a little better, it becomes clearer than ever that, despite his rough-around-the-edges attitude, Flambae is trying, in his own way, to help. He likes to help! He's concerned about things like accomplishing tasks in a timely manner and, as most of us haven't shut up about since we first saw someone mention it, he is uniquely qualified to rescue a kid's lost balloon in the very first mission of Robert's first shift with the Z-Team. Man, if ANYONE actually believes in the Phoenix Program, it's Flambae.

SO. ALL THAT TO SAY.

THE GYM SCENE.

Flambae LIKES HELPING PEOPLE. People in distress INDUCE HIM TO PROTECT THEM. So he comes to Robert's aid, and emphasizes that Robert is weak, and he is strong. Like he is trying to draw attention to the fact that Robert needs help, and Flambae is the one who can and will be there to help him. He's trying to SHOW Robert he can rely on him, by performing the most homoerotic display of protection (helping him with the weight), concern (you need a spotter, we need you, I don't want you getting hurt), and strength (IMMEDIATELY starts squatting while facing him. not looking away. MAINTINING HEATED EYECONTACT) EVER.

Also, maintaining heated eye contact with Robert while he squats and talks about how strong he is is fucking INSANE??? Bro, is that a challenge (it can't be, he just told Robert NOT to hurt himself) or a come-on? Are you imagining bouncing on it RIGHT now??? Or are you trying to show off how strong your quads are, so Robert knows you can pound that flat ass all night??? Trying to see if he's staring at your bulge??? Whore???????

I'm obsessed. Like. Yes Flambae is an asshole. We have established this is an irreducible facet of his character. However. His abrasive attitude is NOT all there is to him, and given what we know about him, and how much he has license to begrudge Robert (throwing food in his face??? come on, now), he is being EXCEPTIONALLY KIND to Robert in this scene. And more than that, it seems to me that, in this scene, there is a strong argument to be made that Flambae is trying to communicate that he is concerned about Robert's safety, that he is strong enough to protect Robert, that Robert doesn't have to be strong to earn that protection, that he values Robert's contributions to the team, that he wants Robert to look at him, that he wants to touch him, and that he has been looking at Robert's ass.

And Robert is basically pulling Flamabe by being the most pathetic guy ever? Like, look AT him. Flambae LOVES saving people and taking care of people and proving "Fuck you, I can be gentle." I bet he dries his fucking potpourri flowers with his flames. Guys he didn't even burn down the Sardine in that huge fight, his control is INSANE. I KNOW he can be gentle. And he wants to be. He wants to be good for Robert. So, SO fucking bad he wants it.

Flambae sees Robert moaning and grunting under that bar and he's like god fucking damn it he's soooo fucking pathetic. I need to take care of him. 🥺
